Darkness Falls: They mostly come out at night...

I can never pass the loading screen that takes you to the main menu. it just says loading...

i left it alone for about 1 hour and nothing happened, i have tried to uninstall the game from steam and removed all the game files but it still doesnt load. I am going through the non eac. exe file (if you still need to do that)

BTW would it be better for you to edit the first page with the latest version of DF. i come and go from this mod and sometimes i have to go back dozens of pages to find the latest version. i dont know how many people come and go from the mod?

If it just says "Loading..." with nothing else, then you have a bad install.

And the first page IS edited to the latest version of the mod. I try to keep it up to date all the time.

 
i still cant get it to load, normal 7dtd works fine but it has something to do with DF. im using the non-eac.exe file, i have unzipped all the files and moved 7dtd_data, data and mods into the 7dtd replacing the 7dtd_data, data and mods that are already in the folder. i have waited 1 hour the first time, second time waited 30 mins and nothing still happened. i just dont know what to do.

btw sorry about the first page thing, my eyes and brain stopped communicating

 
Did you do a fresh install of 7dtd and then add Darkness Falls? Try uninstalling 7dtd and then delete the 7dtd folder in \Steam\steamapps\common. Just uninstalling the game won't remove existing mods and modded files.. If you already did this, are you running any other mods or did you modify any files yourself? 

 
ok, it works now, the only thing I did was deleting the 7dtd files with out uninstalling from steam first then trying to play the game (with no 7dtd game files in steam) then from recycling bin restoring the files back to /common and now its works

FYI i did try to fresh install 7dtd and darkness fall. Multiple times, i also did delete the 7dtd files in /common. and i wasnt trying to run other mods either

I still dont know what i did wrong tho, but at least i got it working now.

Good day all. Quick question. Does the self-medicated skill buff giving effectiveness apply to rad pills. Does it give you 50% more time if you max out the skill. Just curious cause I’m having trouble getting haz gear and no idea where to get haz fiber. Just made a butt ton rad pills and was hoping to extend their time. BTW Khaine have you thought about increasing rad pill stack size to 10 or 15??? 5 seems so small…..Thanks 

 
It does not. I forgot to do it.

And nope. I left them small on purpose. Though tbh, I rarely need a full stack of 5, so 2 stacks (one on me, one in the bike) is usually fine.

 
Ok I haven’t found the wastes yet but trying to be prepared. Can you give me a hint as to where the haz fiber can be crafted/found.  Haven’t seen it for sale or in loot drops of any kind. I’m currently day 40. Does the day or game stage effect it popping up. Really want the haz mods for my armor. Think that’ll be better than no real armor using haz suit parts. Thanks for the info. As always great mod 👍👍

 
anyone have a good place to start, if I wanted to make a feeble attempt at getting the elevators and cctv cams to work properly?

 
 Elevators probably aren't fixable.


That is mildly surprising (only mildly, because I am familiar with how code structures can lead in strange directions),

The game has vehicles, and it seems like it should be possible to build elevators out of vehicle code (with rigged controls). But that approach would probably be different from "fixing elevators"?

 
The elevators already have custom code. I think the models aren't properly updated but I need to check.
That's why it's not an easy fix. It's also not my mod.

Also, Vehicles are entities like players and zombies. Elevators are blocks. So it's not the same.

CCTV works fine. Turn occusion off. Elevators probably aren't fixable.

Yea, seem to not want to stack on each other. They have structural support for other blocks, but it's like trying to make two magnets stick the wrong way.
