Feel a little silly but I had no idea you could get sand from rocks using the cement mixer. I had been going to the desert digging up sand instead of using all the rocks from mining to crush it much more easily.

Anyone else miss this? It took forever to dig up all the sand I needed to make concrete mix.

Heh. There are a lot of things that can be missed until you notice them. When I started playing, I had missed that you could craft cement mix in the forge and was trying to loot all of it to make concrete.
 
When picking up the minibike was introduced we missed that for a whole alpha version. You couldn´t do that before, had to be taken apart if you somehow got stuck.

That's been a thing with the mixer since I started in A17, I believe

Still need some rocks to make concrete and even more rocks to toss in a forge for cement, so it's kinda nice to just go mine rocks to take care of all that (even if it's a literal ton of rock)

Legacy version on console was like that, like if your bike fell in the water or a pit that you couldn't dig your way out, you'd have to strip your bike down to the frame and carry the frame out and re-assemble it again.

I missed it back in A17 when they first turned desert ground into a mixture of clay and sand. I ended up with around 1.2 million clay stuck in boxes because of all the sand I mined to make concrete mix.

One of the few times I used the auger for mining. Lots and lots of screamers.

Hmm... Strange. I saw sand from stone among the concrete mixer recipes back in A17. For some reason I skipped the iron pipes recipe in the forge for a long time and went around dismantling all the beds in the area.
