PC Crossbow Recipe

Do they exist? Its day 87 and my character is level 189 and I have not found one yet.

In A17 vanilla there are no more recipes as they were known from A16. The only exception are the mods. With the exception of the mods, everything can be made by yourself via the intelligence branch.

I checked the XML files. You can craft a crossbow after you put a point into Advanced Engineering which is locked behind level 25 and Intellect level 5.

Yeah but there I no mention of it. I checked a bunch of times for it in the Intellect and the Archery perk.

 
Even behind the locked gate, vanilla Advanced Engineering clearly states:

Craft workbench, table saw, crossbow, compound bow, mining helmet & basic electrical components. Running 17.4 (b4)

Yeah I must be blind as I see it now on perk level 1. Or maybe I misread the message when I attempted to craft one at perk level 2 and instead of "you do not know the recipe" maybe it was "you do not have the necessary ingredients to craft this item"

I just play vanilla navezgane in single player, I wish I would have remembered to build a large random map but at level 200, I will just wait for A18.

All in all though I have flawless level six crossbows to use and sell to traders, so thanks guys. I love selling Augers and Chainsaws to the traders, the auger is 4600 or something and the Chainsaw is also way valuable as well as the Nail Gun. I sell about 4 Augers and 4 Chainsaws or Nail guns a week when I have enough duct tape and engines. The Steel Fire Axe and Steel Armor is also a good sell because you do not need duct tape and I am always running out of duct tape unfortunately.
