Cross play?

Can someone please tell me how to join ps4 lobbies from Xbox or vice versa because everyone saying it's cross play between console but nowhere on how to invite each other.

 
Which is really sad, and the only reason it isn't crossplay on consoles is because MS and Sony wouldn't agree.

 
Current talk about crossplay you may have heard is about a new console port that is currently in first steps of development. The owners of TFP want to develop crossplay into the game, even to PC, but again that will depend on whether MS and Sony agree to that.
