This game is nowhere near complete in my opinion & is lacking so much. More needs to be added before this becomes the best survival sandbox ever! Also some things need to be fixed,

Creating More Content List of Ideas

- Make every vehicle in game drive able (Seriously in a world like this we should be hotwiring every car we see.)

- Hotwire System (Requires Wire Cutter & Lead Battery used on dead but not ruined cars can replace lead battery to start vehicle & make drivable.)

- Vehicle dealership building (A building with many cars in it to explore, loot, & salvage cars.)

- New Scope Mods (There should be more scope mods there's so many different types of scopes we need to add more so every weapon can have scopes in many different styles,)

- Transportable Bundles (You should be able to make your own bundle of items in a box so you can transport them all in one slot in a truck! When I transport stone I want to bundle my stack of 6000 stacks in a bundle so I can truly pack out my stone mine truck & bring back way more stone then before.)

- Flammable Oil Trails (Gas stations, gas fuel, & shale oil should be allowed to be dropped on to the world like a block to use to slow down zombies as they move through the oil & could be flammable with fire or explosive weapons to create burning oil which will make a flame that spreads to every block that has oil on it.)

- Secret government tech (We got all these military & government buildings but no secret government or experimental technology? What the heck there should be some powerful secret items you can only find in government facilities which would make them worth exploring)

- More explosives (We got remote bombs & that's almost really it. Wheres dynamite or TNT? I want to be able to place explosives all over the map connect the tnt by wire & use a TNT detonator to make the wire trail blow up one TNT block to the next. Yes I want to plan to make a massive bomb the size of my world & have the whole world blow up in a span of over an hour.)

- Trap Boxes (Place on ground & check later to see if a rabbit, snake, or boar ran into it. Harvest resources by knifing through it & you will collect the items also removing the trap requiring you build another one)

- Underwater Biome (There should be oceans, lakes, & great lakes make the underwater worth exploring & can bring a whole new set of items to survive it & build a base underwater)

- Bottle Pack (Similar to transportable bundles hell could just use transportable bundles idea instead of this. But to add flavor for those that care a bottle pack which allows you to pack 6 different drinks into one slot & take em out of there like a 6 pack of budweiser.)

Fix Issues

- Fix Screaming Zombie!

- Fix Cop Zombie

- Fix Offline Mode

- Fix clothing appearance clippings

- Fix steroid animation (you currently pop a bottle from a pill it should be you inject a needle into your arm!)

- Change cement stack from 1000 to 6000

- Change all drink stacks to 50 from 10 (I would prefer 100.)

- Fix driving controls (turning while in sprint is so bad driving all together is a bad experience please adjust handling to be more smooth & controllable,)

That's all I can think of for now i'll reply with more ideas everyone should reply here with their ideas as well. Think of this as a idea megathread so all our thoughts are listed in one place!

You must prefer a world where civilization was functional recently so that they have charged batteries and viable fuel. I'm in the opposite camp where I think none of the cars should be functional because the batteries are dead, the tires are rotting, and gasoline has lost its punch. I think it would be cooler if people had to refurbish cars and convert them to alcohol. But hey, that's cool. If it were a near-term apocalypse then sure, hot-wiring makes sense.

Change all drink stacks to 50 from 10 (I would prefer 100.)

Again, I'm in a different camp. I don't like that murky water stacks higher than 10, but you're into convenience and I can understand that. Fortunately, changing stack sizes is an easy mod.

Most things not on their roadmap with happen unless they are something small enough to be done quickly or something they feel is absolutely necessary.  Of course, there isn't anything wrong with suggesting things.  Someone night even take a suggestion and make a mod for it.

They don't plan to make other vehicles for players to drive unless they decide to eventually do a raft.  At least, not until maybe eventually a DLC.

They do have dealership POI, though they are small town style.

The reason scopes aren't on all weapons is because they don't want them on all of them, so that isn't likely to change

Storage is meant to be something you need to deal with, so making bundles to avoid dealing with it isn't a great option, and unlikely to happen.

They intentionally removed burning barrels from crafting, so they aren't likely to bring those back or add those other things.  It sounds like it becomes a problem with people placing a lot of them and exploring them, causing servers to have problems.

Dynamite is in the game as a thrown weapon, though it is rare.  There are a lot of different explosives you can craft or buy.  I don't think we really need more of them, and would personally remove half of them since they are essentially the same.

They have said no to trapping animals. Meat is already extremely easy to get.

Water can be on maps, but they haven't done anything special with it. Faatal had said he would like to, but it is low priority and may not happen.

As far as fixes (changes), it would help to say what the problem is.  The screaming zombie?  People have a wide range of things they like or don't like, and they aren't the same from person to person.  What do you want changed?

The same for the cop and offline mode.  What do you want changed?

As I mentioned above, inventory management is an intentional part of the game, so increasing stack sizes has a low chance of happening.  I do agree that cement having the same stack sizes as the other components for making concrete mix would make sense.  But there is no reason to carry a ton of drinks around, so I don't see any reason to need larger stacks of drinks.

Driving is also not intended to be completely arcade, where you can turn perfectly at all speeds.  And each vehicle handles differently on purpose.  They may make some changes to it, but you probably won't ever turn as easily at max speed as at normal speed without slowing down.

The short response to this is that most of these would be fine as mods, but probably won't end up in vanilla.  At least not unless they are added as a DLC.

As for what you think I prefer a world of civilization state I am not sure what your talking about all fuel is viable theres no gas disel & premium. You get batteries for cars there is no charge function to them but hey that could be a good idea. I just think every car in the game sure you can have none working ones but every single copy of it not working or fixable cmon now. I think it would be nice to use every vehicle then have vehicles there but you can't use them.

As for hot wiring them sure why not have the dead vehicle require fuel & a new lead I don't see that as a bad idea to hotwiring a car to work again. As for stacks yes I am into convenience 10 is such a low number theres no point except to force you to build more stashes just for drinks which in my opinion is a redundant thing to do.

Yeh, for each desired play style there would be an optimal combination. While I prefer a heavier dose of realistic situations, you're into something else. There's probably going to be a dozen different views. You can see why TFP is going to pick one that matches their vision, right? Somebody is going to have to count on mods for what they want if it matters that much to them.

The rest of this is just me talking about time and cars. Read if you're curious. I've tucked it away in a spoiler as I don't really want to derail your thread.

Not that I'm trying to persuade you, as what you want will be awesome for you, but I know that a gasoline powered vehicle left on its own for a period of weeks or months becomes non-functional. My old Honda Civic was good for about three weeks before it would drain the battery. I had to be careful with the fuel in my motorcycle when storing it for four months over the winter or it wouldn't start and had to go to the shop. I eventually sold that bike after not riding it for 9 months and its tires were starting to dry rot.

If we assume the apocalypse was 2 days ago, then there are lots of viable cars. You might even find some idling at a traffic light with a dead person's foot on the brake pedal.

If we assume the apocalypse was 6 months ago, then a mechanic could likely get them to run, thought the quality of available fuel will be poor, though if you find a diesel powered vehicle you'll be in better shape.

If we assume the apocalypse was 2 years ago, then you don't have any viable cars, other than those that were carefully stored. You won't have any fuel, gasoline or diesel. The game lets you refine gasoline from oil shale, but that's not very realistic. More realistic would be distilling alcohol (methyl or ethyl) and having a mechanic convert a car.

If we assume the apocalypse was 10 years ago, then you probably don't have any viable tires anymore.

Yes, there are several camps of opinions on this and luckily mods make it possible for everyone to be happy. I prefer having constraints on water to enhance the survival game but also to make me manage my personal inventory, again for a more realistic feel. There certainly are players who want expansive inventories.

One of us, perhaps both of us, are niche players. Again, you can see why TFP has to implement their vision, and it might be different than yours.

Again, I'm going to hide my reasoning in a spoiler because it is background and not an attempt to persuade anyone or hijack the thread.

Since water is part of the survival aspect of the game, I like to restrict how much I can carry when adventuring. Water is heavy and bulky. So I look at a unit of water as being about 1 pint, so 8 make a gallon. If all I wanted to carry was water then I could arrange to carry a lot of it, but otherwise carrying a gallon of water or around 8-10 units, makes more sense ... so one square of my inventory.

Also, the game is pretty generous about water consumption. The rule of thumb for an active person is around 1 gallon of water per day, though that includes water for food preparation. I can usually get away with drinking around 3 units of water in one day, though I am careful about stamina usage. Others might need more.

There's a zombie game called Vein that requires the player to hotwire vehicles. There's also a mod for 7 Days that allows for cars in the environment to be repaired.

I think it would be more fun and feel more realistic to have to fix up the dead cars as opposed to building vehicles from scratch. The whole concept of tires being too degraded and all batteries being dead can be overlooked. I mean, the Walking Dead overlooked the fact that gasoline goes bad after about 6 months.

Unfortunately though, I don't think they are going to change their direction. I personally would prefer more of a zombie apocalypse simulator, but it's clear 7 Days leans way more into the arcadey game direction.

I forgot to mention in my post above that you should look at the Vehicle Madness mod if you are on PC.  It is a great option for people who like having more vehicles to drive, and you can repair some of the vehicles found on your map.
