PC Controller support

Hi!

I tried to use search for a new information about this but couldn't find anything new. Is there a controller support for PC version and does it work like in console versions? I would like to buy a game for PC since PS4 version doesn't work and I would like play it sitting on a couch while using a controller, just like in PS4.

I think so I haven't tried it in A16 but A15 worked for the most part just plugging it in. Only had to change a few things.

but I would recommend getting a wireless mouse and keyboard. You can get one for a pretty cheap prise and get one of those like tv dinner tables or whatever you want to call it. They have some similar but for laptops that adjustable that move up and down. They are pretty cheap also.

the reason I say this is because the controller is limited to what you can do with the keyboard and mouse believe it or not.

 
there is absolutely controller support. Xbox controllers are plug and play. PS4 controllers you have to download a software i believe

We’ve added full gamepad/controller support and tested for Xbox One, PS4 and Steam controllers. The controls are not definable but are the same as the console version defaults. They even have custom button icon prompts that display when using a controller. Note that on-screen keyboard for text fields will only be available when the game is started from Steam’s Big Picture Mode."

I managed to find this and already bought the game and tried with PS4 controller. Works like a charm! To the new world I shall enter ->

 
Yea, I bought the xbox controller to try to help me. I always manage to open my inventory or something when wolves are chasing me with my key bindings. The controller works, but alas, I am hopeless when I try to use it.

 
Almost everything does work with the controller. It gets a little funny with text fields, you need to use the mouse/keyboard for that and if a text field is active the controller is not(meaning you need to push Escape if something comes up and you appear stuck).

Most of the game I find quite pleasant with my PS3 controller, but combat is a bit more difficult due to the mouse's ability to move both very fast and very slow. You can adjust the analog stick's look sensitivity by adjusting the mouse sensitivty option which helps a lot, but it's still generally either too fast to target easily or too slow to turn around quickly when you get surrounded or need to retreat.

Yea I saw that. First time when I put a pin on my map and it asked to write something for the pin, it worked fine. Next time it didn't worked at all and my controller's icons changed into a Xbox version :D But yea I think the problem is in Steam, not the game itself.

Well, after playing PS4 version for about 300hrs this is much better in every aspect :D
