PC Controller analog stick deadzones

I'm not sure if this has been posted on here, or if I'm even in the correct area. I've been playing this game for I don't even know how long now. It's been my go-to game when I don't know what to play, and all that. I noticed a while back that the controller seemed really clunky. Making aiming at a zombie, or animal really difficult. I finally realized that the cause of this is the analog deadline isn't able to be changed. I also noticed that you can't slowly change the direction you're facing. Making small adjustments impossible. If these issues were fixed, I'm sure the games popularity would increase pretty quickly. Any time I recommend the game to a friend, the controls are usually the main issue they have. Additionally I saw someone suggest adding the ability to use the d-pad for inventory selection too. The quick select for items could remain, but activate after an item is selected with the A button.

Maybe try adding this in the "pimp dreams" console section.

I think you kinda get used to the controlls and the response time of them but it would be cool to be able to customise the speed and what not.

The more customization, the better!! Good idea Xanorin!

You can change the controller sensitivity - I slowed mine a tad and find I'm just fine. It's just a matter of finding what setting is best for you.

Thanks Outlaw! I'll move it over to that thread.

Damsel, I understand what you're saying. I originally got this for PC early 2014, and loved the game. I bought it on xbox on the release, and have put probably 400-500 hours on it (maybe more). I've played with low sensitivity, and high, trying to figure out the issue in aiming. The aiming is literally the only issue I have in the game. No matter what the sensitivity, it is impossible to make minor adjustments in aiming. The only work around is moving your character instead of trying to aim.

I agree and would love to see this fixed if possible. I’m curious, since you play on the PC as well. Does the same issue exist there ?

No, mouse is way easier to use. Not just this game but many games especially anything with shooting. Some of the few games I personally prefer controller over mouse is driving games. Maybe a few others but basically anything that makes you spin around in a circle the mouse will win every time no matter where you place the sensitivity on a controller. But this is just my opinion everyone is different. But it doesn't keep me from playing console or using controllers.

Hopefully, maybe Microsoft will give us mouse support on XB1, I've heard we're supposed to be getting keyboard support but haven't seen anything come of it.
