PC Console needs more communication with the devs

No offense taken. This thread is a bit different from many of the others that get shot down. I recently left the last "when is the next update" thread open too. Just 'cause. Most of the time though, the threads really are just crap duplicated over and over again.
Do you have any ideas on how we could push our concerns onto telltale since posting our concerns here will literally do nothing because the console version isn't being developed by the same people.

I also would like to know. I doubt we will get a response from tell tale but I’d like to try. Because at the rate the console version has been developed they could be done with it and none of us even know.

Sadly, no.

I have been unable to find any way to get word though to anyone at Telltale or Iron Galaxy. Even through using my contacts in the industry, I was unable to find an opening. Everything just routes back to "Post on the TFP forum". Which to me, says that Telltale really doesn't care. I remember how astonished I was at the release that they didn't even bother putting up a forum section on their own forums for the console version. They just had a redirect link to this forum.

Well that’s disappointing. But exactly what I figured. I really do feel like this games was ported as a cash grab so they could fund there game extinction. Which IMO looks rather bad.

As near as I can recall, that wasn't the case here. Telltale approached The Pimps with the idea of porting it. Telltale is also the one who chose IG to do the port, and if you look at IG's history on porting, it should give you an idea. (Batman: Arkham Knight is a recent example.)

I have actually I have tweeted the fun pimps iron galaxy and 2 different telltale accounts.

On a different note have you seen any of madmole a17 videos? If you look in the comment sections like 80% of the comments are about console lol same thing when tfp tweet anything

I grabbed the game for 10€ on a sale. If only the zombies were a bit smarter and won't bug in to stones and other things that would be great. What I do is respect their work if they try to solve problems. I play normally big tripple A games like call of duty, battlefield, Ufc, Rocket League and these games are masterpieces in devolepment. What they do is great and if they trying to make you happy you should respect or appreciate it too. Maybe a bigger update is on the way who knows? I woud'nt be happy as a dev to sell a product to my customers that have a lot of bugs and don't know how to fix it, It have to be frustrating.

^ There's a note about social media in that post.

I know it can be frustrating, but any info that comes to me from the console teams goes up here first, the way it has always been. I also give the team regular updates on the community not just bug reports, so long as this post remains civil and adheres to forum rules I'm sure it will remain open, and I will continue to listen, though I may not reply to every post or regularly in every thread that appears. All feedback, positive or negative is welcome.

Yeah, I have to agree.

More communication from the developers would go a long way. However, that said, I can't help but think the reason they don't give us updates about upcoming patches and such is because the forums would then just be bombarded with never-ending "When is the next patch going to release!?" threads. That would be my guess, anyway!

I've noticed this myself, too.

I'm not surprised really though, especially given the fact that it's sold over 3 million copies across both console platform's within just a short year, which is a huge success for an indie game like this that started off with a rather questionable launch.

- The game has obviously seen massive improvement on console's since and I hope we continue down that same path. Which, I'm sure we will. :)

Yes this is true. Well Clare if you see this let the console team know that while yes a lot of people are irritated about rarely getting information surrounding the console updates but any and all information they give does go a long way.

Also can you confirm if the console team is or not still working on the game more so then just a bug fix or two? Mainly optimizing or content? Just a yes or no would suffice. It would definitely calm down some people just to know that the game has not been abandoned on consoles. Thanks in advance if you reply

Agreed....Communication on the consoles has been a joke...Its like nobody is allowed to talk about anything regarding updates like its a big secret. It would be a crying shame if the console version never gets anymore updates moving forward. As consumers we deserve much more information than whats been given. Please whoever is in charge here please improve communication for the community, Please don't give up support for this amazing game. :crushed:

This is from a pc only user so it may be taken with a grain of salt but I think it would be the same for any game platform. I read a lot of console posts because I usually hit new posts button and it doesn't make a choice on which I want it just gives all new posts.

"All feedback, positive or negative is welcome." is nice but consider it this way. If you have 10,000 posts about your game, if 9,999 are "Great game, I love it" etc...and 1 post is "This is so frustrating. Everytime I enter the dragons cave and jump, if I hit the button to spin around my game brings me back to my house and I lose all my progress" which one will be more helpful (well a little helpful anyway) to the dev. I suspect they need to know more about what is not working than what is. (Not 100% true but close enough) and the salty posts are going to be the ones telling them what is not working.

That being said they do need to know what is working too. Not only to know that it is working for most everyone, but devs are human too and it is nice to hear something you have done is enjoyable to other and that your work is appreciated.

As mentioned I only play on pc and I may have this all ass backwards.....and I am sure someone will soon straighten me out :D .

I completely agree with everything you have said, as a previous PC player myself I have seen the game go from very early stages to what it is now and it's amazing, even the consoles version right now although it has a lot of issues right now it's very enjoyable to play and everything they have put into the game has impressed me, but at the moment there is just a lack of communication between whoever is developing the game and the community and it just feels like the game on the console is slowly dying, maybe not for the new players, but for the players who have had it since it first came to console such as myself it's a bad feeling.

Well maybe since Claire is the console community manager if we’re lucky she could relay our concerns with the console team and then they might give her some information for us. Fingers crossed 🤞

The thing is, that while more communication would be nice, the console team has a fine line to dance on.

If they post all the neat stuff they are trying to bring over, but then can't for whatever reason, they will then be turned on by salty players who now feel that they were somehow lied to because it didn't pan out. Which is something I have seen happen several times on various game forums.

So in a case like this (since I believe it has already been stated somewhere that the goal is to try and get the console as close to par with the PC as hardware will allow) it's a little better to keep on a relative down-low while trying to grind out as much quality content and fixes as they can. Or so it seems to me at any rate, it's just a case of being over a barrel and having to chose the lesser two evils so to say.

A schedule on what is to be done would not hurt. Most games have those. Don't promise anything big. Just let us know what direction we're going.

I ask this because again, am not a console player....strictly PC.

What are possible differences between machines? I mean from one xbox to another xbox or one PS to another PS. Not xbox to PS.

I know there are a multitude of differences between PC's so that could cause problems for some and not others.

What can be different between one console to the next that would screw up one persons gameplay to the next persons.

Right now I only know of network connections being different.

Can console players change any hardware?

I know my question won't help anyone but my curiosity is overwhelming on this.
