A lot feel free to add things that you noticed or think others may want or need to know.

You now only can play 2 player coop if on Xbox series S, they want to increase to 4 and other systems will get 8

No random maps. They plan to add this by end of year for now you have 12 pregen maps and hand crafted Nav. The 4 pregen maps are 4 layouts with 4k smallest and 8k largest. 1 is center forest, 2 is center waistland, 3 is like a pie and 4 is strips.

Vehicles are greatly expanded from the old having 1 mini bike now it's bicycle, mini bike, motor cycle, jeep and gyrocopter and are a lot more work to get

Food and water is a lot more work early on in new one, you don't get empty jars or cans or find as much food in general but once you get a pot build a dew collector and kill a few animals it's not too hard. You do have a green and blue bar under your tool belt letting you know when low. When you eat drink it's not instantly increased I gradually goes up depending on quality

When infected it now gradually increases even if not hit again, you need to eat honey slowly or antibiotics or it just keeps growing worse

Bows you use to start the second shot right after release, now you need to give it a second to reload... this one I keep learning every time I screw it up

Leveling up is no longer tied to you doing one action to level up that action. Everything gives exp then you use those skill points to make say mining easier with putting points in strength attribute and then miner69 perk

No spit screen or local coop and it's not coming we can just hope it makes it in 3.5 days to die that has not been made yet 

 
POIs are more of a "dungeon" type now and contain sleeping zombies.  There is one intended way to go and there is also a "main stash" of loot at the end of all POIs with at least one base skull of difficulty.

Your skills determine your loot, to a degree.  IE:  putting points into knife guy will increase the amount of knives in appropriate loot containers and also skew your skill mags and perk books towards knife ones. 

No more sexy t rexy.  All stamina boosts formerly granted by sexy t rex are now bundled into the individual weapon skills. 

Workstations found in the world are always broken now and no longer give you one when wrenched.

It's got painting not that I understand it much. Tried to paint my bike and instead painted the side walk...

If you still don't know how to paint your bikes and vehicles, you need to install these long skinny tubes of Dye to the "Cosmetics" slot similar to how you install Mods to your armor, weapons, etc. Open the bike/vehicle menu and place the Dye into the Cosmetics slot and it will change its color to whatever type of Dye you install.

Thank you Blitz, I found one early on and stuck it my outfit cosmetic but it did not seem to change the color still red flannel, at least that is what friend said. He could have just been messing with me.  Going to be playing soon and will stick it in my bike

 
Traps... We lost the wood log spike, but gained electric fence, blade and dart traps, we also got non movable turrets, along with movable rotobic turrets

Zombies dig,  no more safe bunker hiding on horde night, if you try and drive through horde night vultures now attack they replaced the old bee
