Connect several electricity sources together

There are mods that can be used to connect several power sources together.

The idea behind this is, for example, to connect several solar panels together in order to be able to charge a battery bank better and faster. This is because a solar panel only generates 180 watts, but the battery bank can output a maximum of 300 watts. So if this 180 watt consumption is exceeded, the battery bank discharges faster than it can be charged.

Since I am not playing alone on the server, it is not possible to install mods. My question is therefore whether it is possible to integrate this mechanic into the game so that several power sources can be connected together. In a row, for example.

I hope this is the right topic. If not, please move it :D

Kind regards

Pimp Dreams would be the right place for suggestions.

But why not simply use two battery banks with each having half the consuming power drains and supply each with its own solar panel.

TFP has a lot of features on their plate they still want to implement so I suspect that a problem that can be circumvented so easily will not be addressed until they want to do a complete overhaul of the electrical circuits. If that ever happens (I have heard them say recently that they have no plans for that currently) your problem would probably vanish anyway.

The point is that solar panels and solar cells are not so easy to get and level 6 cells are even less easy to get.
But also because of the logic, it would simply be better if you could connect the panels together. In real life, you can also connect several solar panels together.
And I also don't want to have too many battery banks standing around, so it would be easier if one bank could be fully charged.
There is a mod that allows each energy generator (solar panels, generators, battery banks) to output several 100 watts. I once got to the point where I had 1200 watts at the end point output. This allowed me to use multiple devices (turrets, lighting, etc) without any problems because the power never ran out as multiple solar panels could generate any amount of power.

That's why it would be cool if the developers here could perhaps consider implementing this.

Whether or not you can link solar panels together, the number of cells remains the same, so that doesn't really matter for this suggestion.  Though I agree that solar cells are a pain to find.

As far as linking panels together... I wouldn't complain about it, but I also don't really need it.  I would prefer a complete electrical rework, including the ability to use logic gates.  If that includes linking panels, I'm fine with that.  I've never run into problems with it as I'll just compensate with a generator until I have enough cells to cover my needs.  But that is just how I do it and linking panels wouldn't really improve that.  The only benefit is to have larger circuits or to reduce the number of battery banks.  Since those take only 1x1x1 space, they don't bother me to have one next to each solar bank.  But like I said, I wouldn't be upset if they allowed linking them.
