Currently there is at least a few traps for bases, but there could always be more!
I began thinking about the dart traps, turrets, pressure plates etc and thought “there are mines, but no claymores..”.
The idea is that it would be similar to the dart trap box, and activated by an electrical trigger of some kind.
Though rather than a high range, repeating trap like darts, it would function as a short range burst of damage.
It would be one “shot” before needing to be “reloaded” by the player. The ammo needed would be buckshot, but rather than each unit being a shot, each additional unit would add more damage to that one shot!
This would help in various ways.
- Make for a good way of pulverizing enemies as long as your base is designed well for it.
- Have the chance to neutralize a screamer without her trigger a horde.
- Make for some very interesting trap combinations with others.
