Changing day length Xbox

Hi all.
Just wondering if I can change the day length on my Xbox, or do I have to start again? I'm level 96 game stage 230, day 191. I think my day length is 45!! It seems lately every 7 days all I have time for is to repair & collect little supplies before the next 7 days then start the same all over again! I'd love to be able to change the day length so I have more time to venture out, but fear I'll probably have to start again. Any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance.
 
AFAIK, day length is just the speed at which the clock goes forward. It shouldn't break your game. Setting a new time can mess up ongoing timers like forges, plant growth, spawns etc etc; but changing the day length logically shouldn't.

It is in the sandbox options. Look for 24 Hour Cycle. It's probably in the World section, but I don't have the game open to verify that. It'll be the number of real world minutes per game day. The default is 1 hour real time (60 minutes) being 1 day in the game.
