CCTVs - V1 Vanilla version

Hello I'm having a small problem I'm using Alpha 17.4 (b4) and i installed the CCTV modlet using a test game i got the 0-3 tv and camera to work then tried the 4-7 tv and camera and the tv doesn't work, and now neither work i noticed a error when placing a camera in console its yellow text that says Animator.GotoState: State could not be found Invalid Layer Index '-1' wondering if anyone knew how to fix it or if there's CCTV for 17.4? Thank you in advance for any help

That warning message wont effect anything and is an artifact of using the electric switch code to drive the CCTVs. What "doesnt work"? If the cameras are too far from the screens they wont work. If the screens and cameras are not initially connected to a wire (next you can disconnect but they need a wire attached at least once) they wont work.

okay so on a18 items don't have icons

folder names changed in a18 on modlets. Open up an a18 mod and look at the folder structure for icons. rename the a17 mod icon folder name to match a18 mod

Let me know if this mod is still usable in A18. Camera panning seemed to stop so if I port this to A18 I may need to remove panning and increase fov. If the modlet is still worth having I will push an A18 version.

I would love to have this for A18!

it does work and cameras pan just fine. the only problem is the dark overlay.

I will push an update then. Not sure what you mean by a dark overlay. Do you mean its hard to see the TV screen in a dark room?

the image on the monitors is so dark you can barely see anything. it's like it's always night.

I have heard that at times but I guess it depends on the gamma level the player uses. I will look at adding some emmisiveness to the screens in a later update. i still only see the camera closest to the screen panning, the other 3 do not.

okay so the cameras are now moving for nothing the output is static
Thats what i noticed, the range from the TV is much shorter in a18 than A17.

The cameras will broadcast without the panning so for now just install the camera and dont set it to Pan. If the field of view isn't sufficient I can increase the FOV but there is a FPS hit if I do that.

Version 1.5 for A18 uploaded.

Panning might be fixed now or at least it seems improved.

Lights were added to each camera to help with darkness issues. Let me know if you all like it that way or would rather just add your own spotlights.

I was not able to resolve the dark TV screen issue inside Unity in a decent way. The issue is the TV screen needs DIRECT lighting on the screen front. A helmet light works perfectly for example, or just brighten up your room and shine a light towards the screens. I will keep playing with this but the video layer is blocking emission which is how this is typically solved.

Looking for input. I'm thinking that it might be best to turn down the brightness of the built in light on the large cameras and remove the light from the small cameras. Id add a flashlight to the large camera recipe. Thoughts?
