PC Can't use certain mods with other mods

Anyone know if this is a bug or a feature? I really hope it's either a bug or they have plans to change it because it doesn't make much sense currently. Why shouldn't I be able to use a flashlight mod on my helmet if I have a water purifier attached already or use a weighted head on my sledgehammer if I already have a structural brace equipped?

The is a mod for a helmet lamp and a different one for weapons. I am guessing you have the weapon mod and are trying to use it for a helmet. All items have a level. You can add only a certain number of mods. Level one - no mods, level 2-6 is the level minus 1 (level 6 item you can use 5 mods.)

I don't think it's a bug. i'm assuming certain mods take up certain 'parts of an item' and is supposed to be common sense from the name. (but very elusive for certain parts)

Much like, you cannot equip a reflex sight + x2/4 scope or semi + auto trigger groups on the same gun.

It kinda makes sense for the mufflers & customized fittings, but for stuff like a brace and weighted head, you'd think they'd be compatible. Although if I'm not mistaken, the structural brace can't be used at all at the moment.

Water purifier is a bit of a weird one anyways, even if it sounds cool. By the time you find one, you're usually not drinking out of toilets anymore.

The purifier is absolute useless. Besides my very first games of 7D2D i never had to drink murky water. Survival part is a joke in this game.

I thought I was obviously talking about two different pieces of equipment. I'm sorry for confusing you. Of course I'm not trying to put weapon mods on armor.

They made the structural brace usable in the last build update. I'm wondering why a piece of metal on the handle would cause me not to be able to put a weighted head on the top. I agree that the water purifier is a joke but I still think it is odd that it can't be equipped with a helmet light. Just doesn't make sense.

I think it gives +1 armour to your helmet

The dirty water stacks greatly, which is nice. I guess if you buy the hydration perk, then you're not going to burn through 15 waters very often.

Yeah this makes sense to me.

What doesn't make sense it the complete lack of documentation that leaves us guessing.

Hopefully once more of the work on balancing and bugs has been done someone at TFP will take the time to give us better information.

Which is why I don't get the point to the small stack sizes for water, and stuff like bandages/first aid bandages etc. Then you have case of things that should stack that don't like wheel's.. well I guess I can see why wheel's don't stack, economy I guess.

I am fine with 15 and without perk. The survival part is a joke. A bad one.
