Cannot join game on dedicated server (Nitrado)

Hello,

I bought the game in 2018, played a bit, could not get into it, let it rest.
4 days ago some friends of mine started playing so I told to myself why not give it another go.

I can play the game in solo just fine and it works perfectly, no issues.
I have been trying for 4 days to join that server but nothing seems to work.
I tried every guide, every step I could find on the net.
First block was due to EAC I think, I kept being stuck at the "receiving and loading settings" or something like that.
Then the server "owner" removed EAC from the server settings because we're playing between friends with no strangers so no one will cheat.
 

Second block was on "Starting game..." as I kept being stuck on that screen I could hear the music but could not get into the game (note that when I pressed Alt F4 just before the game exits I could see for a brief moment the environment of the game.
I removed every graphic improvment in AMD Adrenalin Edition that could create an error and let the game handle the settings.
I finally was able to join the game for several minutes.
A friend of mine came to me in game and gave me a bike to help me reach their base and as I was getting near it I started sinking in the ground very slowly.
I went backwards and was able to came back to the surface.
Knowing this could be happening from a network issue, I checked my ping which was around 12 ms.
I then did a ping-t on the server's IP adress and waited for 100 pings and had 0 (zero) packet loss.

Came back into the game sinked again, could not come back above and quit.

Since that I tried everything but the game is blocked at the "starting game..." screen with seemingly no error message in the console (but I can be mistaken)

The longest I waited is 30 minutes on that screen with music coming and going from time to time but nothing else.

I don't know what to do anymore and would like some help

Going to need for you to do the needful and read the Pinned threads before posting.  There is a reason this thread is titled the way it is...





Will need logs from both the server and the client. Follow the instructions, and don't just plop a wall of text into five posts.

Not 100% sure I can provide the server log.
Your log shows that you have a networking issue prior to connecting to the server, and also while initiating the connection.  This is typically caused by not excluding the client and save folders from security software.  I cover this in detail in the Pinned Support FAQ.

Aside from that, you appear to connect to the server just fine. As far as the log is concerned you are connected to the server and online in the server.  So more details on the issue will certainly be in the server log.

Are you running Windows 8, or are you running the game in compatibility mode?

Are you running Windows 8, or are you running the game in compatibility mode?

Windows 10 1809 isn't supported.  You really need to update that big time.

Your game port is on 25300. So you should have opened/forwarded ports 25300 on protocol TCP, and 25300-25303 on protocol UDP.

Otherwise the server shows that it is online successfully, and getting spammed by a server manager. It does not show any incoming connection attempt.

Your log shows "OS: Windows 10 (10.0.17763) 64bit". Which is the build number for 1803.

I tested this with a 22H2 machine, and it shows "Windows 10  (10.0.19045) 64bit", which would be the build number for 22H2.

And just to confirm that this is the current build of the OS, and not what it was originally imaged with, you can see the history of Windows Updates starting with 21H1 in this Speccy report.

So based on your log, your Windows version being reported by Windows is 1809.

I admit that my initial installation of Windows is quite old and that I should perhaps carry out a fresh install but when I type ‘winver’ I am in version 22h2 build 19045.4842

This is also what I see in the Windows diagnostic tool.

I have configured my router as indicated in your procedure.

I've checked that the game is whitelisted in the Windows firewall, I've checked my graphics drivers and all the drivers on my PC.

I ran a Windows update to be sure and there was no update.

Everything seems to be up to date.

Despite my best efforts, the game doesn't work for me and I'm still stuck on the ‘startin game...’ screen with no yellow or red message in the console.

I've been trying to play this game for 5 days now, it's never happened to me before and I'm going to leave it at that.

Once I've done this fresh Windows install, maybe I'll give it another try out of curiosity, but that won't happen for a while.
