Cannot disable EAC ( easy anti-cheat )

Version
2.4
Platform
Windows
Hello,

I'm sorry if this was posted before, looking through the forum I don't see anyone mentioning this bug.
So I disabled EAC through the launcher, and when trying to enter the game I receive the following error :
Unrecognized Response
I tried disabling eac with console launch options, and uninstalled eac completely without any difference.

Trying to run EasyAntiCheat_EOS_Setup.exe doesn't seem to open, it closes instantly.
Running the .bat to install outputs that it is installed.
But when I take a look at the client logs from C:\Users\user_name\AppData\Roaming\7DaysToDie\logs\ I noticed a 503 HTML error, stating that the server is unavailable or that the Authentification Token is invalid or has timed out.
I have attached the entire log in pastebin.

Weird thing is yesterday everything was working fine. Maybe the issue is with EAC authentification server, that it still tries to communicate with it even with the disabled EAC option. Enabling the EAC again doesn't fix the issue. It stays permanent.

Reproduction Steps
Disable EAC
Launch the game

ok found a fix, I followed this tutorial : https://www.easy.ac/en-US/support/articles/eac-windows-service and it works now. In case the link becomes invalid, here is the write up :

How to manually repair

If there is a problem with Easy Anti-Cheat such as an error when you try to start a game using it, you can try using the service self-repair feature.

  1. Open a Command Prompt as Administrator
  2. Run the command: cd C:\Program Files (x86)\EasyAntiCheat_EOS
  3. Run the command: EasyAntiCheat_EOS.exe repair
    • It is normal that no text is output. The next command will confirm that it worked.
  4. Run the command: echo %ERRORLEVEL%
    • If you see 0 then the repair operation succeeded. If you see something else then it failed. Make sure you are running an Administrator Command Prompt and try again.
