PC Can we discuss stack sizes?

TL:DR: stack sizes are fine to me, I see no reason to make the game ANY easier...but thats just me
This is why this is all 100% a question of whether you hate, enjoy, or just tolerate inventory management. There is no one answer. This is pure player preference. Some want inventory management to have a larger impact, some are happy as is, and some want to to have less to no impact and it all simply is a matter of what people find fun which nobody will agree upon.

@Roland , do you know whether game data will be collected from _modded_ games?

Just dawned on me that if the answer is no, then how will TFPs know if a significant percentage of all players use modded stack sizes? Or large backpacks, etc.
I doubt they care that much about those types of things because the game is made to be moddable. Also its only a significant part of the forum population, not necessarily the games actual population.

I for the most part play without mods, I used one during my last few playthroughs of A18 but that was it. The backpack is small on purpose, makes vehicles worth getting since they make you able to carry 1 or more inventories worth of stuff in them. Part of looting a large building is deciding what to carry, and what to drop/scrap. During factory runs I make several trips to a box or vehicle outside the building, when I'm done looting I'll compact everything or make multiple trips. Once I get to around mid game I stop picking everything up as my ability to make stuff increases and things like oil are no long a must save when looting. Cheaper armor gets scrapped and no longer carried back. Early game is the most intensive period for the inventory because you dont have a vehicle yet and need everything. Once you get a vehicle it becomes a ton easier to manage your inventory.

@myrkana , yep, I get that, see my post right after the one you quoted :)

Also I normally will play pure vanilla during experimentals, so I can post any bugs I might run into, so I get yearly 'reminders' of what the default backpack & stack sizes are, heh. Then going back to modded is kinda like when you have that bad crik in your neck where it hurts to turn your head, then it finally releases... ahhhh! :classic_biggrin:

That said I'd honestly love to have no significant space limits but have real mass limits for backpacks.

Fine if there were 'cheats' to support building, but would rather have things like panel forms and concrete pumps.

And I know that'll never happen in 7dtd. That's ok, but I can dream...
