Can the cave POIs on 2.0 still be seen from the map like on older versions, like cracks in the ground?

Supercorn should be fine once you start to farm it. I hope the Radiated Shrooms are somewhat plentiful. It's the acid I'm a little concerned about.

There's a cave POI called Carlsgood Caverns that can appear in any biome. During 2.0 Experimental my buddy and I were able to find a few Radiated Shrooms inside. They can also be found inside Area 7 (if you're brave enough), which can also appear in any biome.

Curious, are Radiated Shrooms rare or common in the Wasteland?

I just walk around and harvest them as I come across them. Doing the other tasks to get the badge, you are going to come across them without having to seek them out.

Also, It helps that I also threw every mushroom spore onto the walls while I was still in pine forest. I was able to make a few smoothies prior to going into the burnt forest the first time and eventually found enough on the ground to craft a few more to get the time spent challenge complete

It also helps to have LoTL at perk 1 so you get 2 per harvest (I always setup a farm in my game so I usually have the first perk point by Day 3/4).

The mushrooms are definitely more abundant in the small regrowing patches. I would recommend searching for them in flatter areas of the burnt biome as well.

Some cave POIs also have biome specific harvests in them as well. (E.g. mushrooms in burnt, blueberries in the snow)

Intended. They aren't going to track every mushroom to make sure you made the smoothie with the right ones.

...you have to interact with it in order to get radiated mushrooms? Other than that, it's pretty much 100% able to be ignored, so yes, it's pointless.

That said, radiated mushrooms are easy enough to get (in single player..multiplayer might be another story if you're not the first one there.) I gathered over 100 of them without making a single smoothie.
