Broken Iron Spikes

It makes no sense that I can build wooden spikes in 5 seconds and upgrade them using the hammer to iron spikes.

But if you make iron spikes strait away it takes 40 seconds for 1 spike.  This seems Broken!

Can you fix this?  Idea : Make iron spikes in lets say 10 seconds.

IIRC, the counter is that it costs more materials to upgrade than it does to make them straight out.

You could just queue them up in your workbench and have it make them.  I typically do that.  Forge the iron at night, then queue it up before I leave to do my tasks for that day away from the my base.  By the time I get back, the spikes are ready for me to deploy them.

Time management is always a critical part of survival games.  Letting the workstations do tasks like this helps you out in the long term.
