PC Blocks will not attach and drop down immediately and destroy items beneath them

(PS4)I have noticed throughout the game that when i build up (typically my style is to build towers) there are certain singular points where nothing can be built even if there is proper support. I have tested it with many different types of place-able items and they all do the same thing, glitch out, drop , destroy attached blocks, and destroy several things beneath them(usually the support system) which causes a massive break and EVERYTHING falls. I have definitely dedicated some time to finding a workaround for this and typically i just have to abandon that spot since i can't afford for the whole tower to give out on me. I don't expect a solution but maybe just an explanation for this bizarre mechanic and maybe an idea of what i might be doing wrong. I definitely uderstand the structural support mechanic so that's not the issue here.

Hi Mantra,

A common cause for this is often a cave underneath the structure - had you dug below the structure at all?

Another common cause is the SI in an area becoming glitched after something large is collapsed all at once. For example taking out the bottom row of a building to encourage it to fall, or leaving a hill in one collapse.

If it's not either of those, there is also this post which may help explain the SI a bit better, including how to best use support (shouldn't really alternate support between floors etc) and the support needed for building out from a support column - https://7daystodie.com/forums/showthread.php?20701

If all else fails, a tour (gameplay clip or screenshots) of a failed structure would possible help us determine what could be going wrong.

I will get a video of this instance when i get off work and get home tonight.

No rush! I appreciate you taking the time to do so and will keep an eye on this thread :)

Turns out you were right. I didn't bother to get a screenshot, simply had to go the very base of the support and upgrade it. Ended up working out just fine :D
