Hello,
I have finished up two mods that work together to make farming easier (not that it is THAT hard in vanilla).
PickupSeedsMod allows you pick up seeds, instead of punching them on accident. No more punching seeds by accident.
In order to make gathering a bit faster than punching, I have created BetterHoeMod which changes the hoe to have a much smaller attack range, but attacks much faster. With this change you can simply walk along with left mouse button down, and harvest crops without damaging the soil. Don’t worry, I adjusted the stamina values so you won’t break a sweat farming ever.

Note that if you use the hoe mod with vanilla seeds, they will take damage and be removed. These mods are meant to be used together.
