PC Best tools for clearing POIs

I've been debating on what are the best tools for clearing a POI. Pick and axe, sledgehammer, or auger and chainsaw. There is also the options of shotgun with breaching rounds or timed charges but these two options feel like they are too costly to be effectively used for multiple POIs. I like just using a sledgehammer but you don't get as many resources back from breaking things. Also it uses more stamina than the other options. Auger and chainsaws are nice because they don't use any stam, so you will also end up using less food in the long run, but this will only be viable if you have access to a lot of gas. Pick and axe seems like the more rounded options to go with. Which option do you prefer to use?

Picks and axes for me.. the auger and chainsaw are just annoying to use for short tasks, with pick and axe I'll feel how many swings I need.

Although, depends on what you mean by "clear" I suppose, tnt does wonders for both safes and bottom floors ... :)

Perked up sledge is most universal - a weapon, tool for wood and metal, you basically safe 3 slots by speccing into sledge and str overall.

As for doors and safes, I'm just using breaching ammo for shotgun and timed charges.

All depends on your needs, the later the game, the lesser you loot.

Best (as in optimal numbers vs time) strategie is doing specific runs, wrenching is different from looting or food runs. Also depending SP or MP, etc.

frames, ladders, wood club, lock picks and a normal axe and pick if you have them.

The wood club is for spikes. you can scrap it when you are done and make a new one when you encounter more spikes.

The OP would have to clarify what he meant, but I think he's talking about demolishing POIs...as in destroying them completely, not looting them and clearing out the zombies.

If you're swimming in resources, nothing beats explosives. If not and the POI has no basement, digging out the dirt under it is probably the fastest. I've never perked the sledge, but unperked it's not as good for demolition as a pick.
