I think I am going to have steel hatches in front of the posts. I will open the hatch to repair a post or put another in. When triggered on I will close the hatch. They will be on the bottom and with an electric fence wire coming out and the hip points of the steel hatches I should be OK. I will need 24 hatches, but I should have the resources to craft them soon.

Also I know these paper pallets and they are usually in small warehouse's I have found a couple already but I already looted them. I just checked the recipe for the paper and this will help as well when I have my 2 chemistry stations, four dew collectors and 4 campfires going.

That is what I have done in the past, used hatches as access points to repair and reload turrets. For electric fences, I have also placed them inside walls that I can access while defending my base so I can repair them during the night.

I just got auto shotgun unlocked, and as it would figure, I sold most of the shotgun shells for money to buy other things I needed at the moment.

Does anyone know the best source to get paper?

Also while I at it. Another question. Can you repair something behind iron bars like an electric fence behind iron bars.

You can get paper and plastic from destroying cardboard boxes, best way I think for farming paper along with the bonus of gaining plastic too.

Trash piles can be busted with an axe for plastic or paper, random with you'll get, I think with the junk miner perk I've gotten up to eight paper from a pile. Cardboard box piles are a decent source, lots of those in basically every POI.
