Trying to play today with gf and friend. Friend is on playstation. Gf and me on pc. She hosts it. He gets in.i get "eacauth_known_invalid authentication timed out" everytime. I am able to join other random eac crossplay peer to peers in the join list just fine. I specificly cant play with her as host.anyway i ended up having to play on ps5 to join which sucks i didnt just buy a 4080 to play at 20 frames on the ps5. I read that my timeout mayvhave resulted in a 7 day ban. Is this true and if so WHY would a timeout result in a ban. I started a new game to test if she can join me with crossplay and eac and she can. I had her start a new game with eac and crossplay and i cant join that either. Thanks for the time. Been playing for ten years. Just wondering if next weekend this will clear up and ill be able to use my pc or even better have this reaolved before then.

That's the error I keep getting too I had the error all wrong I'm on Xbox trying to play with a friend on PC glad I'm not the only one

I had multiple of the same  errors and never got banned btw hopefully they can fix it soon cuz I would love to play with my friends on xbox

The EAC temporary ban is done when your connection has so much packet loss that is will negatively impact the performance of the server.

The fix is to troubleshoot your network connection, or to not connect to hosts that are a great distance from you.

It is on 1.2 i thought that tag was for anything after 1.0 ill remove it

So i just have to wait a week? Cause the connection is fine we are litterally plugged into ethernet less than a foot from each other

Also 7 days is a bit much because they are worried about a little packet loss. Any way to appeal or reach out to eac? I think i hate this program now.

The hoat should have the final say of who is banned not a stupid program

The connection between your computers may be fine, but the issue is your pc's connection the EAC/EOS auth servers.

These are the most common causes of network issues:

1: AntiVirus: Add folder exclusions for the game and save folders in your antivirus software.
    (on both client and host/server)

2: oem gaming or network optimizers, like Gamefirst from Asus, Gigabyte LAN Optimizer, HP's Omen, Dell,    Corsair, Razor, etc.
    Uninstall the "optimizers".

3: VPN or proxy: Use split tunneling to add an exception for the game.
    Or turn off the vpn.

4: Using Wifi. (WiFi is half-duplex, encrypted, and subject to interference) Use Ethernet instead.

5: Many newer routers have built in security apps which may be interfering with the game's network.
Log into your router to see if this is happening.

Also you can try the "Network Workaround" option from the Options/General tab.
    (both clients and host)

7: (only for server/host) Ports not open. Add port forwarding for ports 26900 TCP and 26900-26903 UDP in
    the host machine's router.

Well it connects to the other random peoples that have eac enabled so should be fine i think it was some sort of one time fluke that was punished by a 7 week ban for  some dumb reason.

The temp ban is for 15 minutes. Not 14 days.

Mine i had already manually set as an exception in my firewall but i did it to my gfs laptop and also split tunneling on hers and enabled the network workaround on both and i think i solved it. Thanks for the help
