THANK YOU! I now have a decent map to play on, OMG that last one had huge amounts of wasteland (which is great lategame).

I did go in to the steam folder and delete the old saves as well.

And on a side note seriously thank you, I have read many posts form you helping other players. You are why this is a great community. You are appreciated!!!!!

I modified my rwgmixer.xml file (A17.0) to get a smoother terrain with more sensible biomes.

Hey @DelStryker very interesting moddifs you've made, I'm playing a bit with the values to try tuning it down a bit since the maps I've tried with it looks a bit too square for my tastes. Nice adds to prefabs rules with the rule of max spawn but it really down the prefabs size in huge order (from 254 to 122 ko on Starbuck) even with downtown_zone_size_perc value="0.5" yet bigger cities but really empty ones. So I disabled it (put the original back) and edit prob values for what I found the most annoying spawning pois (must have missed some of them let me know).

I change a bit the values you've changed and tweak the biomes more to my liking.

it needs finer tuning on my own, but again thanks a lot cause it helps me so much in understanding RWG, here is my modified rwgmixer.xml with quality of life improvements on POI'S and on biome mapper. I did up the water lvl by one it just spawn some small amount but hey

I have to really thank you for showing this to us. I used your file, because i really dislike the jigsaw version of the map and this cleared it up nicely. Removed the majority of wasteland (which i really hate) and made the map seem more "real". 2 thumbs up!

seed i'm using is "n33d m0ar f0r3sts". decent map, gonna likely play on it for a bit :)

*Edit/Update* Once i started into the map, i noticed that most every building was in the air, traders disappeared, etc. Not sure if i did something wrong (complete noob when it comes to this, never modded 7 days before), had to shut that one down.

When is Kinyajuu going to make a post in the forums and let us know what's going on with RWG?

I don't care if he says it's going to take months to get things working the way he wants, I just want to know what's happening.

Right now RWG just sucks.

No offense to Kinyajuu, who I'm sure is working hard on it, it's just that it's not fun they way it is now.

Anyway.... some feedback would be nice.

Would be nice to know. The way maps were generated when A17 first came out was better (though i understand why people thought it was less than stellar). Would be nice if you could choose via slider, selection box, or other means, how the world was built initially. For example, being able to choose a map having more forests than anything else, removing things like wasteland, etc.

yes .. the map seems to be much smaller unlike the last version which was massibve, tired of running into radiation all the time, just starts to get good and we run out of map ... grrrr

well,well. it is not an island! forest top left snow top right

wasteland across the middle , desert underneath that and a small burnt biome on the bottom.

no big cities unfortunately. most roads are in the wasteland section.

EDIT: never mind i didnt zoom out. it is surrounded by water..

this is a common COMPOPACK38 seed (tbh almost all seeds in CP38 will give good maps !):

pls notice that all towns are different from each other - i got 9 different Towntypes the engine can choose from
