PC Auto-reload is unacceptable

You cannot launch the game with this "feature" unfixed.

I have a hotbar full of weapons precisely so I can switch between them and reload once the fight is over ...

Except the game is broken and forces a reload before you can switch weapons.

This is a Class B bug. Fails Concept FMEA. Please fix.

Make an option if you want n00bs to have auto-reload. Even have it on by default.

Just give people that know how to play FPS the ability to turn it off.

 
Yeah, the auto-reload is nasty, especially because you can barely move while reloading. Pretty much a death sentence when dealing with multiple runners.

I really hope they patch this out. Item switching is already wonky and slow enough without it.

 
Quick fix would be to leave one bullet in the chamber when switching. Not super easy though.

I thought they removed auto reload from most guns? I think only the crossbow and hunting rifle were supposed to still have it.

 
auto reload either must be a perk or a game mechanic. Its a really buggy and unrewarding thing to have. However perhaps that is what TFP intended? Try and keep an open mind people!! :D its A17 "experimental" For a reason

Maybe it'd help to pay more attention to your ammo remaining, I mean right now though it is bugged where if you use the mousewheel to switch to a gun it doesn't show you how much ammo is loaded or how much you have.

 
I must have a bug with my weapons then, cause my weapons do not auto-reload, i have to actually click again to shoot with an empty clip to force a reload (or press R of course) nothing about it is automatic.

 
I think if anything but the hunting rifle or crossbow is auto reloading then you're bugged. Auto reload was removed in A17 from most guns. What weapon are you having problems with?

 
Yeah, you can't do a Hollywood and throw your empty gun at the bad guys (how many times has that ever achieved anything, other than informing the bad guys that you're no longer armed). Where's the realism? [/sarcasm]
