PS auto party invite

I usually host a session on my PS5 for me and my wife. Now whenever I send her an invite, she joins me and as soon as she gets into the game, on my end it automatically accepts a party invite from her. Shouldn't it be the other way around? My side automatically sending the invite and her side automatically receiving it?

Does it really matter which way the invite goes? I haven't paid attention to how it works, though it is very helpful to have it automatically done instead of having to manually do it every time. Look at it from the perspective of doing it manually... she joins and you haven't yet invited her, so she sends a party invite. You accept. Same thing. In the end, if you're playing in a party, it doesn't matter who sends the invite. It just matters that someone sends it.

Now that you mention it, it doesn't. But just now thinking about it, what if that one thing might be causing other issues within the game. Something that the devs are not catching. It would still be worth looking into.
