Are you guys still running this official account?

So that not everyone needs to translate it as well (generating lots of CO2 in the process), it seems xiaoheihe is a chinese gaming community website. And the latest message on that page is the official release message of 1.0 from the funpimps. Not quite breaking hot ;)

Players from all over the world are welcome here. I’m not aware of an official account on xiaoheihe. What you see may be someone re-posting announcements from the developers, for the benefit of Chinese speakers.

I wouldn't touch that .cn site even with 7 proxies, 2 VMs and a condom.
why?🥲
This is just an ordinary website. I'm just wondering if the official team can continue to manage this account—there are a lot of people in China who play this game, too. They haven't updated this account in a long time.

Could this account be a fake official account? It even has the game developer’s verification badge.
If it really is a fake official account, could you please set up a real official account on Chinese social media platforms?
For example: Xiaohuihe (a gaming community app), Bilibili (similar to YouTube), and Douyin (the Chinese version of TikTok).
Many Chinese players really love this game. We hope the official team will interact more with Chinese players.

Lots of chinese players interact here already. What does keep the rest of them to join here, on X or any other official channel?
We enjoy playing this game, but the developers don’t operate an official account on any Chinese social media platforms. We need an official account managed in Chinese to facilitate better communication between the developers and players. Communicating with the developers in English can be quite challenging.
Most importantly, in China, the vast majority of people cannot access Twitter or other foreign websites due to government policies.
Currently, there is only one fan-run community website called: 7 Days to Die Chinese Site (七日杀中文网)

That doesnt answer my question. There are already official channels. Chinese players can just join them. Why should there be any on Chinese social media platforms? Must there also be for Korea, Norwege, Sweden, Australia, Russia etc etc.??? I just dont get it.

I’m sorry—I misunderstood what you said because I used a translation tool.

The developers would likely need an employee who is a fluent Chinese speaker. I don’t know if they have someone who could do that. I can certainly sympathize with the challenge of communicating between these languages. One way they interact with the Chinese community is by including some Chinese-speaking streamers in the Streamer Weekend events.

Perhaps the company could try hiring a few operations staff members locally in China. They could manage the Chinese gaming community to facilitate better direct communication between players and the company.
Epic has a small office in Shanghai that isn’t heavily involved in game development; its main purpose is to manage the Chinese gaming community and interact with players.

I don't know how big BI's marketing section is, maybe they have a guy who posts on chinese social websites as well. But I would guess not even BI is big enough to have one guy exclusively doing marketing in China, much less having a whole office there.

I've found the solution: Epic has to buy out BI !!!

A good game operations specialist can greatly influence a company’s reputation. A Chinese operations specialist who used to work at Epic left us with a very positive impression of the company (even though Epic’s servers in China are still unstable, and players have been complaining constantly). However, this specialist’s engaging interactions with players in the community made us feel quite favorably toward Epic. As Epic carried out global layoffs affecting more than 1,000 employees, this Chinese operations staff member was also laid off, and his supervisor has now taken over Epic’s official Chinese social media accounts. The two posts below both praise this operations staff member.
