PC Are vehicles still disappearing?

I have never lost a vehicle in 7 Days. Not in A15 or A16. Today I took off on my new motorcycle (why does that V8 death machine sound like my Harley?) and looted a few spots. Turned around, came home, and the bicycle was GONE. Nowhere to be found. So I can finally say I lost a vehicle. It was just sitting when I left and gone when I returned. First vehicle loss ever. Just wanted to add my experience to the list.

 
Probably the 2 minute save timer. Was saved, you moved, exited and never saved in new position. Should be fixed in the next version.

Actually, looking at the code in the version you have, it looks like the vehicle should be saved in single player on exit. Exit does a bunch of stuff before saving vehicles, so an error could stop the save. I assume you did not have an error or you would of mentioned it.

I wonder if I should force a save before exiting and just sit a few seconds to make sure it's all done.

 
I have had a few bikes and minibikes being deleted by the game but once it was launched 900 meters in the air and stuck there untill I flew up and sat on it.

 
Friend had the Gyro spontaneously despawn when he was flying it - resulted in him dropping from high height.

I wasn't on so missed the scream - but it was worth it to imagine it so.

 
Hopefully one of the fixes I made will prevent that happening in the future.

When will we see this fix? It is probably not so but I feel that this problem is actually getting worse by the day. I lost 2 more motorbikes last night.

On our ded server several bicycles and minibikes have suddenly stuck high up in the sky. So if you seem to lose a bike, yet see the icon for it, look up. The damn thing can be hundreds of blocks high up, just sitting up there. Had to use cheat mode and fly up to grab the thing back.

 
My bicycle dissapears every single time I logout of the game.

Motorbike I've only made once, but it did the same.

I just use the console to spawn a new bicycle, but I don't know how to do that with the motorbike :(

type 'cm' into console to enter creative mode and exit console, push u to bring up creative menu. search for motor bike. if you want to match quality, just refresh search until you get a match in quality. drag to your inventory then turn off creative mode

 
My bicycle just vanished. Not even an icon on the map left. I was playing in a multiplayer game. I don't know if it's significant, but I'd parked it in a different location on original ground, but beneath another players platform which is elevated on pillars.

 
Just had a minibike dissapear after i logged back in its gone , full storage..... very annoyed. very old bug that needs fixing. Pissed off.

It does save on exit except when a dedicated server does a shutdown, which I fixed last week.

 
When will we see this fix? It is probably not so but I feel that this problem is actually getting worse by the day. I lost 2 more motorbikes last night.

Experimental release candidate builds have been going through testing since Friday, but several bug fixes were needed, which look complete, so this last build may make it through testing.

The "out of world kill" bug is not old. It is a bug from A17 vehicle changes, which I made a fix for that will be in the next release.

 
Welp.... sounds like Faatal is on top on this bug.

So.....

.... what else can we complain about?

Ive had then dissapear/ go underground on console version (played 3 or so years ago)

A16 they did it too and thats well over a year old.

Just subcat of the bug new? I hope you fix =)

So I bite the bullet and create a minibike to replace the lost bicycle. Next thing I'm hearing over chat is that one of the guys jeep disappears, followed a short time later that his gyrocopter had disappeared. I look over the edge of the building I'm constructing to assure myself my new minibike below is still safe, only to discover it too had disappeared.

I can always pick up any future vehicle I make everywhere I go, but then you lose the advantage of having extra storage. I hope this gets fixed soon!

I have found that building a "parking pad" (just dig down a block and then about 5x5 filled with whatever... cobblestone, concrete, ect) has helped with keeping vehicles from disappearing. That didn't help when my motorcycle vanished when I was out farming surface boulders though... at 12p on horde night. That was a fun walk back lmao
