Are TFP adding chicken coops and beehives to the game?

Somebody took the time to create these things for the game (a modded version), and they should be recognized for that if they're going to be used in the vanilla part of the game.

They are recognized. Modders like Khaine are lauded and idealized all over the place. They have influencers on YouTube and Twitch gushing about their versions to thousands of viewers. There is no lack of recognition for these guys and it is deserved. TFP has in the past hired modders and when they did that those modders' names go into the game credits for recognition for being part of the team. TFP plans to overhaul their UI in 3.0. There are already hundreds of UI overhaul mods but TFP is doing their own work on that and isn't going to put out a list recognizing every modder who ever altered the UI. Now, if there was one UI mod they absolutely loved and wanted to use they would most likely hire that modder and pay them to implement their UI design natively and give them credit....in the credits.

I doubt Khaine is looking for recognition for having added those to his mod just because TFP will add them to vanilla. If the not author isn't looking for credit, why are you worried about it for them? Do you think Khaine isn't able to speak for himself?

In any case, things in public domain can be used without credit being given. And real life things can be used without giving credit as long as there isn't a copyright/etc. involved, which isn't the case with a generic bee hive or chicken coop.

Ifit was required to credit that, then Khaine would have had to credit whatever games first had chicken coop and bee hives. Did he? I doubt it. And why not? Because it isn't necessary.

TFP isn't going to copy Khaine's code or his art assets, so there isn't any reason at all why they should credit him for adding something that is not a unique idea.
