PC Are plants reduced?

Did 2.0 reduce the amount of plants (cotton, golden rod and chrysanthemum)? In 1.0 there were meadows with patches of plants grouped together every 50-100 meters. Now I can barely see any. Harvesting cotton for cloth is harder now. Anyone else noticed that?
 
I saw someone mention they noticed much more Goldenrod when it used to be more scarce compared to cotton and chrysanthemum.
 
I see them grouped together still. Goldenrod is certainly increased, though. But even in the past, the flowers (including cotton) were usually in patches that were spread out. I don't see any difference now, but you might just need to look around.
 
The sub biomes definitely make things look a lot more varied than before. I have seen patches, but everything looks a tad different now.

Even if it is true (I'm not sure it is) ive still experienced Rekt stop buying my chrysanthemums until he resets and it tells me his inventory is full. This is pretty much just chopping what I see as I run to quest points.

Even if it is true (I'm not sure it is) ive still experienced Rekt stop buying my chrysanthemums until he resets and it tells me his inventory is full. This is pretty much just chopping what I see as I run to quest points

That isn't new. You can only sell a certain amount of each item to each trader. You can go to a different trader to sell more, though.
