PC Anyone want to help with a more permanent entry into my base?

Id make a tunnel. You dont have to make it huge/deep and crazy, dig straight down about 6-7 blocks deep, and outwards a good 10-15 blocks away from the base (to make room for additional spikes). All you need is a 2-high tunnel, 1 block wide for the ladder entrances. Slap a hatch on the end and youre good to go.

 
No need to dig or tunnel. Digging is for over achievers :smile-new:

Pick a side. Go out 9-10 blocks. Make a pillar with ladders. Connect the pillar to your base w/ wood frames.

Do that on a couple sides of your base and you have redundancy.

Just make sure to pickup the frames come night/horde night!

Definitely a consideration. I plan on hollowing out underneath for easy spike repair anyway eventually.

 
You could try a drawbridge from your keep and a ramp on the ground.

If you make the ramp say two blocks shorter than your ramp the zeds will never make the jump.

[bot to mention you close the ramp once you're up.]

Since your keep is compact, maybe a separate walkway to your keep with spikes at the bottom, kinda thing.
