Don't you dare, those are basically one of the only damn blocks in this game that still gives out the feeling that everyone died at the hands of blood-thirsty monsters and the world is ending. They even removed the old corpse blocks that you would sometimes encounter in some POIs or in the road.I miss them sometimes. It was nice to see hundreds of them all scattered around your base after a horde night.
Cleaning up didn’t bother me as is claimed to be one of the reasons for removal.
What bothered me a lot about those was just how ugly they were. You would kill a cheerleader and a moment later she turns into a cartoony version of a bald male corpse that’s been decaying for years with its limbs folded like a towel. Not just ugly in graphics, but also in physics. They would sit on top of spikes all perfectly horizontal like they were flattened pieces of wood or something.
Unfortunately they still use that hideous thing in some POIs.
It would be nice if we had zombie corpse blocks that looked like sleepers (not entities). That would keep people on their toes...and allow prefab creators add more randomness to each POI.Don't you dare, those are basically one of the only damn blocks in this game that still gives out the feeling that everyone died at the hands of blood-thirsty monsters and the world is ending. Aside from a couple small blood splatters here and there, there's almost no decaying corpses anywhere. In a zombie apocalypse, this is a no no. Thank God we have those gore blocks to decorate the apocalypse a little bit at least.
I remember asking madmole if zombie "decoys" were planned (basically what you just described). He said they were.It would be nice if we had zombie corpse blocks that looked like sleepers (not entities). Correction: *Almost* Perfect.No, MASSIVE waste of time.Current bag drops are perfect solution.
That's not true. Both the ugly torsos and the much better looking decaying corpses are in POIs... more so the better one.Don't you dare, those are basically one of the only damn blocks in this game that still gives out the feeling that everyone died at the hands of blood-thirsty monsters and the world is ending. They had the blue-shirt-zombie cut into couple different corpses that used to be found in some places.. (old military base barracks ceiling, one factory building with an underground section and plenty others.) That's the thing that's gone.That's not true. I see. Did it look good? If it did, why did it look good when zombie corpse containers looked like butt?They had the blue-shirt-zombie cut into couple different corpses that used to be found in some places.. I do think they need more gore in this game, though. More blood splatter decals to go inside POIs, even the walls. Zombies dead and alive, impaled by large spikes at POIs.
I would like to see the results of many suicides too. Corpses hanging from trees, some still alive but zombified. Dead people in chairs / couches etc with a pistol on the floor. Zombies strapped to chairs with a pile of pill bottles on the floor... maybe even a note to read.
Some blood drip particle effects to come from ceilings, perhaps entrails dangling from the edges of opened ceiling tiles, then you look in the ceiling and see a body or two.
Zombies stuck in the windshields of crashed cars.
An armored version of the school bus with spikes, zombie parts in the spikes.
Good? Well, better than the pancake corpse block does. It was essentially a zombie, just a loot container. Why better? Ehh, Alpha. The gore block system was to be designed to be lightweight but never got into a decent shape, so the interim implementations look rough. I'm assuming even the pancake is going to get a remodel sooner or later.I see. Did it look good? If it did, why did it look good when zombie corpse containers looked like butt?The current blood decal on roads needs to go too since it also looks like butt.
<snip>
Yeah.. all those. Ugly flattened grayish brown zombie towels, no.
Nice. I have a feeling you've been watching The Walking Dead.I see. Did it look good? If it did, why did it look good when zombie corpse containers looked like butt?The current blood decal on roads needs to go too since it also looks like butt.

Yeah the details mean a lot. There really aren't many in this game. They did a great job with the junk turret and stun baton. They have a lot character in their design, the models were well done, and the player interaction with them is well done. I'm hoping that same attention cascades down to everything else that existed beforehand. If this game goes gold and the player still does not take the lid off of the jar before having a drink, I will be disappointed.However, they're most likely not implementing any of that stuff, and I'd much rather have the little gore we have now than to take it away and have a much tasteless world to explore. Sure, the new corpse bags with flies are a wonderful new addition, but we seriously need more grisly stuff in the game. That's what makes the difference between games that are immersive and games that are not.
