Anybody find a 9mm in a toilet?

I see Walmart is selling a "toilet gun" ... aka, an air-pressure plunger.

I see an article in The Onion about a new toilet capable of flushing a gun, the "GlockSense Smart Toilet."

There's a Reddit about bathroom guns:

Lastly, the father of a friend of mine served in Vietnam. When he needed poop in the jungle, he put the barrel of his .45 through the hole. In this way he could unroll the toilet paper easily, the pistol could sit on the ground with the grip conveniently oriented. I'm not sure he'd fire it like that as I don't know how it would eject a spent casing. I never thought to ask him that. Maybe I'm misremembering and it was a revolver.

I'd guess the idea is to pick up the gun without the roll, the axis of the roll being vertical along with the barrel. Then again, I don't exactly have the details; your story made me question "which hole" and my mind came up with all kinds of wrong answers... ;)

Used to in the console legacy version, you could find a bunch in the burnt forest structures that have a toilet in them all day long, in 2.0 so far, I've been finding them more commonly in those red purses.

The pistol in the Godfather movie was taped BEHIND the tank. No one with a brain in their head stores their gun underwater.
Yeah, the pistol you find in the game doesn't state where it was found on/in the toilet. You just find one when looting the toilet. It could easily have been taped behind the tank or even just sitting on top of the toilet. People assume it is in the tank or even in the main part of the toilet, but that isn't necessarily the case (and less likely).

People assume? Maybe that's because the in-game sound effect is the hollow scraping of ceramic as we remove the tank lid, followed by splashing, and then the seat cover dropping. If it was trying to be true to the movie, it would be the sound of ripping duct tape. Of course, you won't find paper and corn niblets taped to the back of the tank, but they shouldn't be in the tank either. Unless one of the zombies left you an upper-decker.

You are just checking everywhere. If you really were checking a toilet (that's not exactly where I'd look for loot), you'd check in every place, so having sound effects makes sense. And those sound effects aren't tied to finding the pistol. It's the same sound effects even if all you get is paper (which would be in the bowl, presumably).
