PC Any solution for the 1 second freeze every ~60 seconds?

I believe it's under the audio settings. I noticed the micro stuttering stopped for me when I disabled it.
I also run a really high end machine so it was a surprise to me it was still stuttering even on low settings.
I just tried this but unfortunately it didn't help. I think you got lucky.

Guess I'll wait for that patch.

2070, 32gb and latest i5 on a complete gaming platform running from an SSD and I have never seen it this bad. It is not a GPU issue as it happens as frequently at 1080p as at 4k (at least for me).
Maybe its a cpu issue? using a 2070 with a i5 is probally not the smartest choice, as the i5 may bottleneck the card. I've not really had much in the way of performance problems myself. Unless you typoed and meant a 1070. I mean if you can afford a 2070 (I assume its a geforce card) why would you only have a i5 for a cpu?

The large stutters are when zombies spawn in. Sadly, it seems to affect everyone in a server even if they are no where near the zombies being spawned. I've noticed after ~20 players are connected, these stutters become even more aggressive, some lasting as long as 4-6 seconds and happen frequently.
I even get them in single player, usually only when a wandering horde spawns. Never had it studder from sleepers loading in or blood moon initial spawns either come to think of it. Maybe the wandering horde spawner has something to do with whats going on?

Try turning reflection quality to off and enable vsync in the game. It looks crap but does mostly fix the hideous frame times that can be experienced depending where you are looking.

I have actually tried that (V sync both on and off). Thanks for the suggestion though. Also tried everything on low and everything on medium and everything on high + lower res, and a combination of different settings. It doesn't seem to matter what I change:

- the shuddering remains (especially when strafing)

- entering a house has quite an FPS dip.

At this point I think the only thing I can really do is wait for that patch, and also hope the FOV slider is back because it is a pain in the arse to remember to do the F1 thing*.

*For anyone that does not know the F1 thing....

While your game is loading up, press F1, and type:

sg OptionsFieldOfViewNew 100

This will set your field of view to 100 which is going to help a lot for anyone that suffers for motion sickness like I do.

Unfortunately you have to do this every time, and not sure if it works on multiplayer because I've only played this Alpha on single player.

Well MadMole says to wait for a patch but I've been waiting for a patch since the last good one in 2015 :(
