I read somewhere that the Zs are people who caught a virus. Maybe a nuclear war caused a virus to mutate, creating the Z virus? In which case if the player gets scratched and 'infected', antibiotics won't help. Antibiotics only cure bacterial infections. I suggest changing the name of antibiotics to antivirals. The Fun Pimps could have fun with this. Injectable bleach?
