PC Annoying RNG book drops are annoying I hath to search over +1000 bookcases to find a

No book is a show stopper. For me, getting spiked club is a big improvement to my lethality but life goes on without it.
The closest thing to a show stopper is not being able to find a wrench! But even that has a potential work around.
How about getting to Day 30 and still no minibike book? Side note: Autorun key would make this a little less annoying.

receipe I just want to enjoy the game and craft things without buggy book casino loot I can't progress further I'm stuck with crappy bow I quit I will be missed.
Punctuation is a friend.

Biggest problem I see with bookcases is that they never drop a Playboy. FFS, bring out the pitchforks until we get Playboy phat lootz.

Minor problem. I often never bother with a mini bike. It's fun to push your chances walk-running far from base then turn around and take a new route back.

The adventures (and misadventures) I have had not making it back before dark (and sometimes horde night!) have been some of the most excitement and fun I have in the game!

Not a show stopper. 😊

You must play Navezgane to be able to get away with that. RWG is far too huge to be navigable on foot, even when it's limited to 10x10 km.

I don't find running without an autorun key for several kilometers to be thrilling, compelling gameplay.

Loot all of the things. I can't tell you how many times I've found rare books on normal zombies and in piles of trash. Hmmm we need a Librarian Zombie that has better chance to drop books; plaid skirt, button up blouse, ponytail, and glasses!

You can buy them from trader, dont even need to loot books if you find some traders.

yeah completely agree, what stops progress from being made is getting lvl 30 then 40 for tool smithing and getting a cruibel, and finding a wrench, i found one early one time and i made such a good progress, unfornately i suck at the game and lost it then patch came and i start anew didnt find one after 2 weeks also getting the bike is really hard to to find a book to read am in this hospital and alot of small houses around yet not a big box house around, i think i camped at wrong village..

Yes, RNG does need some work. As some of you've pointed out sometimes you can go for a long time without finding a necessary book. The wrench and the minibike are prime examples. Many times (probably 5 or 6 or so) I've played and couldn't find those books for the life of me! Other times I've found them fairly fast. So yes the loot drop tables and RNG does need work, but we're still in Alpha.

Going to CM shouldn't be a "GoTo option" period! Especially in 'normal game play.' CM = Cheat Mode = Creative Mode and should only be set when you start a new game, not turned off and on to 'bypass' an issue.

But with Alpha 17 - there are new things coming and there maybe changes that effect what we're talking about... But then there's "Basically Beta" as has been noted.

And yes - after sometime after obtaining 'everything' or virtually everything the game does get repetitive, but almost every game does.

Crossboy? Is that some kind of trap?
Not judging, just asking :D
hehe, yep, a secret trap noone should know about, and now i made a misstake and everyone will know :D :p :D

No idea how i managed to miss the letter by that much :D

In singleplayer games i settle most of the time close to a trader so getting a wrench is not that big of a problem, never had to go beyond week 2 without one. In multiplayer games i cant say if its smart to settle close to a trader so cant comment much.

As for the rest of the books, the only one i really want/need is the crossbow (Y) but that is my personal opinion of that weapon, not that i cant play without it :)
