XBOX Animal tracker not working

Hello, I'm not sure if anyone else is having this issue but the animal tracker doesn't always work as seen in screenshot below, luckily this time it was just a deer but can be an issue if it was a bear or direwolf and was unaware it was in the area, any help?

open your doll and remove any mod you have in the head gear. If you have any then test

Thanks, it worked, it was the cigar mod that was affecting it for some reason
