an idea to make the trader quests more "rpg"

Since in apocalypse money is pretty much useless, what about making a few kinds of traders, And each one of them has his own specialisation, and you have to do quests for them in order to get them to either teach you something, or make you something you want.

Example: you went to the mechanic, and you want a certain tool, and he asks you to bring something from another trader, or just find something he is missing.

So what do you think?
