1660(ti)/50 have been announced for February, but the bastards have deliberately made 1660 worse than its rtx counterpart in order to not hurt its sales... And as you said, only hype skipped the 1440p generation, hardware is still there.Doubt it. AMD GPUs have never been that good, and their game support and drivers is much worse than anything Nvidia releases. If you really want an upgrade, I agree, don't get the RTX cards as you're wasting money on future tech that isn't even ready yet (and the price for them is absolutely ridiculous). Instead, wait for the GTX 11xx series cards to come out (which is soon). They'll either be priced similarly to the RTX cards but be more powerful, or they'll be cheaper with similar performance to the RTX cards. Either way, win win.
I love AMD CPUs, especially now with Ryzen kicking butt, but their GPUs... no thanks. Hopefully someday, AMD surprises us with awesome GPUs soon, but I doubt Radeon VII will be it when it releases.
As for gaming at 4k, good luck with that, even with a 2080ti, there could be some struggle. 4k came out way too soon... hardware for it needs to catch up. I feel like we completely skipped over the 1440p generation.
They will release it as a new gen lower budget solution - it will be cheaper, not sure by how much though (probably by 100-150$). Well if it had more or the same number of cores and clocking, they would sabotage their own 2060 sales because most users naturally care more about performance and less about having a few perfectly reflective surfaces in 8(?) or so games. I bet it will still sell better than 2060 - it's no coincidence rtx has become a meme.Damn. Is there rumors of it's price yet? If it's going to be worse in performance, then it should at least be much better in price, cuz RTX tech isn't free.
That's really dumb though, why release the new GTX cards if they're just going to be worse than what's already available? Do they even expect to sell any? It better at least be a lot cheaper.
The last specs I saw on it put it close to a 1070 in overall performance.Damn. Is there rumors of it's price yet? If it's going to be worse in performance, then it should at least be much better in price, cuz RTX tech isn't free.

8 games, wow, I thought it was only 1 game so far (Battlefield 5?).They will release it as a new gen lower budget solution - it will be cheaper, not sure by how much though (probably by 100-150$). Well, that's not too bad then. It's in line with all the other GTX series then. Still dumb that they would hold back like that though. If they have the tech, then release it and stop trying to grab every dollar they can from their customers. The last specs I saw on it put it close to a 1070 in overall performance.
