PC Amazing game

I know this has been said but I need to say It again, this game has everything (for me anyway) and I can only feel sorry for the guys that spend money on the latest Bethesda games which were at one time amazing too, don't get me wrong I liked Skyrim for the most part but this is a game you can pick up and enjoy time and time again and the replay value is the greatest part, every time a new alpha comes out you can start a new game (which I was dreading at first with A17 but glad I did) so you learn from your mistakes and start in a little house once again and work your way up to your final base.

Thank you guys.

Or maybe I am just so exited I found a massive lead deposit and I can make some buckshot.

Anyway no need to reply, just a statement.

about 500 hours of Single Player time with 7D2D

only 250 hours with Skyrim

I definitely understand what you mean. The setting, and most importantly to me, the execution of this game is fantastic.

Sure there are places that need significant polishing, but over all no other game in a similar genre comes close to how fun this game is to me. Replayability is a rare feature for me. I get bored with most games before I sink 10 hours in.

I have played this game for a very long time and have enjoyed it immensely. I look forward to more books in A18 as I really enjoy the looting and exploring aspects.

757 hours for 7 Days to Die and 268 hours Skyrim for me. I think once there are bandits and other survivors for the Single Player game it will make it much more enjoyable.

The only games I have played over are F.E.A.R., Thief 1 & 2 and Half Life 2 so I know how difficult it is to get back into a game after you have finished it.

This game has no finish. It just loops to your next restart. Infinite hours are ahead of you. Well, the sun going supernova might put a crimp in your future hour count...

Well lets hope that only happens after Beta 1.0 or well after.

"Everything that lives is designed to end. We are perpetually trapped in a never-ending spiral of life and death. Is this a curse? Or some kind of punishment? ..."

:)

This game is indeed my child hood dream for a zombie game come true. THANK YOU FUN PIMPS!!!!!!
I always tell my mom (yeah I am 51 and I still talk to my mom) that this game reminds me of when I was young and I had my legos, blocks and Lincoln logs and I would spend hours just being creative. I am a creative person and I have lots of ideas that I think of all the time and sometimes I get to the point of where I just say, well some day I will be able to put my ideas into action. I also love FPS games and CRPGs and I like Horror games as well. So here we have:

1) Being creative with building based trying out new ideas.

2) FPS gameplay with an assortment of weapons for melee and ranged combat.

3) RPG elements with leveling up your character and different skills and abilities to acquire.

4) Survival horror with a creepy sense of is there a Zombie behind me as i am looting a house or other POI.

Best of all it keeps my mind completely active and I do not pay attention to things going on around me that I do not want to think about.

But as even drug attics know there is a downside, "Addiction", yeah where did those 5 hours go, I need to take a shower and clean up but I just want to check the forges and then make an addition to this side of the base, Oh yeah I need to see the trader or more duct tape (damn duct tape) , I should make a couple of fire axes fisrt and then I should probably mix that gun powder and so on.

God only knows. Well while you are the game at least you can put these feelings aside and forget them.

Recently passed 1900 hours here myself. At least according to Steam, and I don't think that counts the modded versions from the Launcher.

The only other things that come close for me are Everquest, the Civilization series and Master of Orion 1&2.

I am using a shortcut from the game folder so my hour counts no longer count I guess. Master of Orion 2 was crazy addictive but way to hard for me to get anywhere. I have heard lots of good things about Civilization but never got around to playing it, another similar to it I got into which was Railroad Tycoon also very addicting. Its usually RPGs for me that are addictive, although anything similar to Jagged Alliance also gets me crazy addicted. I was playing Jagged Alliance Back In Action for a long while and the hours flew by but again it was hard to get very far and the micro-management can get to be too much.

Its always the same with strategy and RPG games: I just need to do this, Oh yeah and I also just need to do this and then that. This is usually the point of addiction and when you lose track of time playing.

I have always wondered if there was a MMORPG anonymous, guys with WOW and Everquest really get lost in the game and It may be too much for some to stop playing.

I'm at 2,135 hrs on record and don't regret a second of it. I can't wait for A18, and really look forward to bandits and other NPCs in A19+. I can see myself playing this game for years to come. From a "hours per dollar spent" perspective this game is second only to D&D for me.

Not heard of one in the US, but South Korea does I am pretty sure. The have a couple MMORPGs that make EQ and WOW look like a McD's value meal compared to a Ruth Chris feast in terms of user base and time played. And a lot of the most dedicated players in things like EVE Online come from there....
