PC Alphas and Dead Zones: 7 Days to Die on console is dead?

I seriously doubt that you have monster hunter world if you think 7 days to die is more fun and I don't even like the game that much lmao. Lets stop playing. This IS a failed game. AS SOON as something better comes along you WILL BUY IT and YOU WILL eventually switch off from this lame ass game. Anyone playing this game just wants to play something like it on console, and if you're playing this on PC lol... well you're just sad.

I can understand EA since everyone has problems with them at some point but regardless, idk what these others are but these guys aren't doing a single thing better than anyone besides maybe EA, who has even slower progress on certain games then these backwards developers. Rockstar's GTA alone swipes this game with its pinky toe, how could you ever talk about patches and support when they clearly support their games? If Fun Pimps or whoever the hell were actually smart, they would've made this game in a different way, similar to state of decay or something. This voxel creation system is pointless, even if you don't like graphics it doesn't look good either way you cut it(even things such as water just look stupid as hell, water is very unrealistic with this engine), there's too many things negative to say about this game for you blind fans to continue to be blind fans. Of course, niche communities will be niche communities lol. It's 2018 and the game hasn't release crap since what? Some bridges? a trade npc or some ♥♥♥♥?

I did read all you said and shook my head the entire time. If you don't like the game, cool. I've played this game since launch & have been impressed with the content added/bug fixes.

Every game I've ever played, even GTA as you mentioned, requires the player to pay for any additional content, which Iron Galaxy has not done.

I will agree with your comment on the water. The water mechanics on this game are pretty bad.

I think the game looks absolutely fine. Is it as pretty as GTA, Monster Hunter, etc....No. However as you acknowledged, this is a voxel game & there is no comparison in that regard as far as graphics. Completely different games with different ideas & mechanics.

which content would that be? I've played GTA5/GTAO since release on the old gen almost 5 years ago and never once have I been required to pay for additional content.

that's said, I would have no problem parting with a few $$$ if they came out with some more add on heists or really good content, because the game actually works and doesn't delete all my progress randomly. IG could try releasing some paid content but i doubt they'd sell much for Xbox seeing as two years in the base game still has a game breaking flaw that's been known since before release.

Looks like our resident forum troll has had their most recent ban expire. You'll probably see a couple of more posts like this until they go too far, get their posts removed, and then get banned again. It's actually pretty funny if you watch the forum often to see his posts disappear, and then not hear from him for a few weeks.

He must really love the game though, since he keeps coming back.

Outlaw hasn't played many games I guess. Yeah, a lot of them offer DLC that they charge you for. Many of them also offer a "season pass" type of thing where you just pay an extra $10 or so for the game, and all the later DLC is free. Can save you a lot of money with some titles.

It would be far from all though, and even with those that do, the DLC is only a couple of bucks. I'm not one to fork out cash for a few skins, but if there is real content added, an extra few bucks is usually worth it. So far there has been no indication that they will be charging for DLC or extra content for 7 Days.

Most game companies, if not all these days, charge for stupid things like extra guns, skins, etc. I think even paying for extra missions & maps is bs but that's just the times we are living in.

And to correct you, I've been playing video games for over 25 years so I think I know what I'm talking about. There is talk all over the internet of paid stuff coming for GTA 5 & they already have that stupid "shark cash" card & other stupid stuff that if you have nothing better to spend your real money on...cool.

These are the things I'm comparing to with 7dtd. We have paid for nothing extra as far as content goes. There ya go fellas!

this company has released 4 or so skin packs and they did it before releasing any free content, not to mention that they did it while the game was broken with MDS and while they had broken the MP with patch 2 (or 3)

still with the comparison to GTA??

I did a Google search for any info on "all the talk on the internet" about paid content coming for GTA. came up with nothing. even if they do release some paid content after 5 years of free content, so what? we've had massive additions and loads of free content in a game that has worked for 5 years.

I don't count the shark cards as content and actually love them anyway. I would never buy one but as long as some sucker is willing to spend money on something you can earn for free, maybe the free content updates will continue.

I'm not sure how you can type that with a straight face. you're comparing two games, both have had free content, one for 5 years where the game doesnt have a massive flaw and the other for 2 years that does.

don't get me wrong, I am grateful for the free content for 7DTD but I would be even more grateful if they'd fix the game or even implement some way to limit the damage caused by the known bug that was in the original release of the game.

 
Oh no attack at all against GTA, one of my favorite series of all time. I didn't get into GTA 5 as much as the rest of the series, San Andreas still being my personal favorite.

That was just one of the comparisons another poster had made & I ran with it.

Agreed, hopefully iron Galaxy (and the fun pimps with the main game on PC) can eventually get stuff straight & working properly.

I guess the main comparison to 7dtd & most other games, is the voxel system vs I forget the term but basically environments you can't manipulate.

The voxel system must be a major pain to get right & to keep working right. All that stuff there definitely beyond my knowledge. You are correct, this game is far from perfect even through it's fun factor.

 
I played GTA5 over the weekend. I still got it for darts. I'm probably #1 for most wins in playing darts in that bar for XBOX1. As for 7 days. I haven't played since I got that late MD5 bug. Don't remember how many days in. My post about said 247 days. I didn't think it was that high for days. But it could have been.

I just can't push myself to comeback. I check here a couple times a week to see if any new updates to fix the MD5 bug or add any new zombies. But figured this game is done what we have is it. Also with State of decay 2 coming in like two weeks or so i'll probably get my zombie fix on that game. But I heard mixed reviews for that game on youtube already.

 
Yeah I watched a few videos on state of decay & I've heard some negative things as well. Then I saw it was only coming for Xbox one so I guess I won't get to experience that one. You'll have to give your opinions of it if you get it, let us know what you think.

I'm betting we'll be pleasantly surprised once the new update hits us for 7dtd. I hope you Xbox players do get some important bug fixes as many other people have complained about, it's pretty much game breaking. I know I'd be pissed over this as well.

I will not be playing it on the xbox but good chance I will play it on PC. Can't even remember the last time I turned my xbox on. Still have a few before I decide to buy it or not, as of now I'm on the fence about it. Got some people I follow on twitch playing parts of it looks fun other parts not so much. Anyway back to 7dtd, so I have no clue what so ever what the next update is about. I can only imagine it being updated to fit around the new unity update. Now i could be way off on this as I have no clue and will be only guessing. Based on what they have done with the PC version so far with this new u it update, it looks like they have pretty much rebuilt the game. Now this is my guess if that is part true and they are doing a console unit update then maybe they have to pretty much rebuild the game again for this on console. If they do yeah they might get some new bugs, old bugs or whatever but maybe by doing this the game will run better on xbox. Don't want to get anyone hopes up as I am only guessing at this. So just hope this is true or at least part of it and this next update kinda fixes a lot of issues as far as MD5 and such.

Lol then why are you here looking around the forums? 5 years in development for a game isn't really that long. On top of that until recently in less of a year of those 5 years was only a few people working on the game. I know bigger companies with way bigger teams take longer to pit together a game. You just don't see it because they don't tell you about the game until they are closer to being done with it. Look at Days Gone they released video of that 3 years ago and that game still isn't out and a way bigger team is working on it. So put that to the side. Console is not in alpha and TFP are not working on the console version. It is getting close to 12 months since A16 released for PC but that is PC in what TFP are working on. The game seems pretty live and doing pretty good on steam. But anyway this in console and it has been a while since the console team released an update but if you read around some you might understand why that is. As for the graphics I dare you to list a game that has better graphics that is 100% voxel. Please again 100% voxel. If you do not know what that means look it up before posting some game like ark or conan or rust or whatever. Those games are not 100% voxel. I will be waiting.

 
I have played the mess out of this game. Have my Plat trophy as well. First and Only actually... Would love more updates, but far from dead last time I played ( which was a few months ago)
