I suggest that you do, on paper it sounds like an interesting gamemode; a mix between intense and relaxed, depending entirely on RNG. The game decides how well or poorly that you'll do. It might send you daily blood moon hordes, hordes every 11 days, and/or anywhere in between.
Well yes i understand lol

I stopped playing A18 2 weeks ago and been rewatching The Walking Dead and Fear the Walking Dead. A19 im soooooo ready.

Just a word of warning: your game may break. I'm running 7D2D at x496 speed so that days pass in less than a minute. So far, the first horde as on day 2, and now it's on day 24... nothing. (BM Frequency 1, BM Range 10.) Something broke!
You can see the next calculated horde night in the debug screen [F1], when you load your game.

General Discussions is an excellent venue for testing A18 bloodmoon frequencies and ranges...just saying (even though I shouldn't have to as it is the same people...)

Vultures don't act like that in A19. They will attack blocks to get to you.
If you get the giant vulture that grap people  and drop them, teach it to ripp of whole parts of the roof

Also do we get anti Air gun turrets? Naaa not for the Vultures but i want to take down that dam supply plane🤪

Just to pull this discussion back on topic... I was thinking that one of the most coveted features of A19 is the Junk Drone.

But to my understanding the drone will only actually be used by a very small audience since you can only craft it when you spec hard into INT, right?

Does the JD (Junk Drone) also appear in loot sometimes like the JT does? 🤨

You already have AA turrets: the JTs are good AA! 😉

Actually i love the idea behind it.

Picture this: Stationary Guns can be found and used in military Camps. You can dismantle them ( long butt Timer) with a chance to break them in the process, BUT if you were sucessfull it gets placed in your inventory and can be placed as a defense for your base. Could be balanced witha fixed Angle of Movement (like 30° to left and right) etc.

Edit:
Care to explain the thumbs down Reaction @MechanicalLens ?

M18 Claymore Mine. ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M18_Claymore_mine )

Ma Deuce. (M2 .50 cal machine gun, can add a Scope https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M2_Browning#M2_as_a_sniper_rifle )

M134 Minigun (7.62x51 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Minigun  )

TFPs could add these into 7dtd right now and everything would be fine.

Claymore uses Steel Ball Bearings and C4. So not immediately available. Could have seperate C4 skill like crucible for steel. And it wasn't designed to be thrown like a grenade, so needs to be pre-placed like a land mine.

M2 uses .50 cal ammo. say 1 round needed 5 Cases, 15 Gun Powder and 6 Bullet Tips. You're not stocking up much of that until later on.

Minigun running 7.62, at -2,000 to 6,000- rounds per minute. Better get to mining bub.

Both the M2 & Minigun should be in mounts, but he77, lets pretend we can hip fire them, so peep-portable.

Other than the poor, "spare a dollar for a shrink?" full ocd min-maxers, which remember we said we weren't going to design to or for, who would be harmed by these being added?

These are near perfect magical "end game content" that _doesn't_ require any sillyness to keep them out our filthy hands until _only_ late game.

These things naturally gate themselves. Say you looted a Purple Minigun day 1. Along with 23 rounds of 7.62. Good luck with that.

Sure if you seriously grind for ammo you could have yourself a "mini mad minute" by earlyish-mid-game. So what? You blew through an entire horde nights ammo in one minute.  :biggrin1: Yep, I'm sure you -did- have a stupid huge grin on your face when your first Demolisher showed up in just the right place and you clacked the Claymore at just the right moment and blew that Demo into modern art... or when you let all the zeds pile up and just let that Minigun eat!

Joking aside I've no idea if something like a minigun would be possible technically.

But I have been thinking about potential end-game things, and once it came to mind that a "Mad Minute" really could be a hell of a lot of fun, well...

Now if only that mysterious supply plane dropped a radio and turned out to actually be a Puff The Magic Dragon... :jaw:

I had to leave the last night's stream halfway so I had to skip the Q&A.

What baffles me is that people could have asked tons of good questions but most in the chat were just fooling around and wasting this opportunity.

Nobody asked, for example, about legendary items... it was a big feature announced several times, why is it not in A19?? Will it be in A20?

Also Mini-Bosses were announced for POI loot rooms, but they're not in either, why? Will they be in A20 or have they been scrapped like the behemoth?

When the sledge turret was first announced I actually thought it would be a new type of fixed turret you could use in your base design.

Will there ever be more turret types for our base designs? There has been talk for some time of a Flame Turret, but I guess that's been scrapped too?

It would be great to also have a fixed version of the Sledge Turret that we could place as a block: the INT portable version will probably mostly be used by INT guys IMO.
There is no "sledge turret"; it's a junk turret, first in the "junk" line. The others are the junk turret and the junk drone. Not to be confused with the gun turrets, which needs electricity to work.

Our opinion.

i think it would be cool if they mad the giant vulture into a radioactive one. AKA it has glowing parts or maybe a fat gut or gizzard where it holds its acid!

The junk drone will probably be like any other tier 3 gun:

1) Find gun in loot

2) Get gun from trader

3) Find schematic and a few parts and build (possibly low quality) gun

I'm sure everyone else would be harmed.  Overpowered wet-dream guns do not fit the envisioned end-game where you have to engage the Duke and his bandit camp as an end-game goal. Normally this would be a challenge since bandits will be one of the toughest enemies in the game. With overpowered guns that wouldn't be a challenge anymore. Unless you also make the bandits able to even withstand a minigun. Now everyone needs a minigun to reach the end-game goal, not only minmaxers.

You're right of course @Guppys Fur. And even if I'd prefaced it with the general thought of, "End Game Content ? " it's still not really suited to this thread...

And I hadn't considered the upcoming Bandits @meganoth ... if the .50 & minigun could only work from gun mounts, and placing those mounts + mounting the weapon took some significant time, maybe that would either prevent their use against bandits, no-build zones?, or open up bandit counters? Bandit rocket launcher guy to take out the guns? That'd add some real question to attempting to deploy one, if you stood a decent chance of it getting blown up :)

Which would expand the scope, so a no-no for 7dtd-1. Damn.

Initial thought was simply to add something new, and pretty 'cheap' (model/code/time wise), for occasional late game horde choas. Where -we'd- get to be the Demolishers for a change. and it would provide a significant materials/ammo sink &/or goal.

Oh well.. (ya gotta admit that it'd make for some awesome vids though :) )
