Since there seems to have been some fair effort put into preventing players from cheesing horde nights in A19, can anyone say _if_ the issue where you wind up with a number of vultures aimlessly circling overhead seriously dropping the amount of non winged zeds has been addressed?

While I wasn't trying to cheese the horde, I was still using a sunken 'corridor + hatch' base, without any skylights.

So wound up with a bunch of vultures overhead by 1 am. & the shotgun turret I'd put outside pointing up just wasn't doing much.

(I think the vultures just circle way up high when they can't see the player?)

Yeah the focus is mainly on the Twitch stream. IMO they should do a Reddit AMA like most devs do as well. Just pick a day and warn about it in advance, let people post all their questions and others upvote the relevant ones to the top and then take an hour just going through and giving answers to the top 10-15 . Pretty standard practice and just gets the most popular questions out of the way, and also puts them in writing so people can link to them every time someone asks about them for the millionth time

Wish they would just ban the people on stream asking the same questions over and over and over and over that were already answered. Spamming a question is one thing, it's basically the only way for it to be seen. But spamming "When is the game going gold?" "When will A19 be out?" "When is console being updated" " when are bandits being added?" "when are car mods being added" x500 is so annoying.

People will ask those every stream without fail, and they will answer them every stream without fail, and then people will ask them AGAIN in the same stream without fail

An AMA on Reddit would gain a ton of interest, especially if they did it on a bigger subreddit like /r/Gaming or something where there would tens of thousands of people commenting. Even if they did it on the 7 Days to Die subreddit, it would completely dwarf the stream, the stream is usually around 800-ish viewers, even small AMA on Reddit usually have thousands.

Here's an example of a small AMA that would be similar in scope / scale to one this game would likely get. Even a small one is 2500+ people active in the thread which is triple what Twitch streams are bringing in, and it just takes the devs a couple of hours similar to the Twitch streams
You mean there are people on reddit besides haters? I don't go to reddit, the few times I have because Googled something, it was no help.

Vultures don't act like that in A19. They will attack blocks to get to you.

Wut? It's one of the biggest sites on the internet lol, it's in the top 20 even counting the non western sites , of course it has tons of different communities of varying helpfulness. It's basically the best place to get easy no nonsense info. You can just google Question + Reddit and get basically any info you want without having to screw around with 14 minute youtube videos that could have been summarized in a 4 sentence paragraph

To be honest, no matter how good we get Im sure we all still step on landmines lol.

Was playing with a friend not too long ago and we were raiding a poi and I was slowly walking up to it.  I saw some landmines and was like "Hey, watch where you st..." BOOM.  Needless to say he did not watch where he stepped.  He blew himself up 3-4 times during that session I believe.

And I know Ive stepped on plenty of mines myself as well.
Landmines are honestly one of the top killers in my dead is dead games, I sometimes forget what poi's have them, I run, hear the click and then I am like &^%* me, SPLAT. That one up on the crane at the building site often gets me if I am clearing that poi at night as I often forget its on there, and that was a REALY @%$*#! move to place one there too btw lol.

They'll fill the same role but there could always be room for additional things like the giant vulture they were talking about. Just talk for now but it all depends on how much time they have.
Everything comes down to time. There are plenty of things I would like to do, but many of them will never be done. Helicopter would be cool...bugs, bugs, someone needs this, that, something else. Wait..change this......need to release an alpha, so finish up things. Development is dynamic. A one hour task can often take a day. A day a week. That is just how it goes.

I'm a little surprised no dev chimed in. The game already does #3. It's 3% when it procs.
Really? I looked at the wikis before posting but there is very limited info on infection, and honestly not sure if the information there was even up to date. Do you have a source for this?

Not sure if this was or has been brought up. So if you can only get candy from vending machines for 100 but it sales for 200? Not a big deal as it would take loads of candy to make any kind of profit to buy anything worth anything. Just seems strange is all.

That chance is 100%. The feature is already in A18.

No surprise they say "blind as a bat" 😉
Please tell me where as all I can see is
Blood Moon Frequency 1-10 days then 14, 20 and 30
Blood Moon Range 1-10 days then 14 and 20
Where is the random option?

That was 200 Dukes for a stack of ten candies (which would cost 1k Dukes to purchase). So 20 Dukes each if you choose to sell them.

Blood Moon Range is the random option. Allow me to provide you with an example.

Let's say you select Blood Moon Frequency 7 and Blood Moon Range 3. That means that for the first blood moon horde, it's guaranteed to happen at least on day 7, but because there is an added 3 range, it could happen as far along as day 10. But then you have to multiply the frequencies. For example, if you had a Blood Moon Frequency of 7, then punch the numbers. 7, 14, 21, 28, etc. Now add a potential of 3 onto each of them. Now, this doesn't mean that if the first blood moon occurs on night 10, that the next horde will occur on night 17-20, 7-10 days ahead; Blood Moon Frequency is set in stone. So if you have the settings selected above and your first blood moon horde occurs on the night of day 10, then the earliest the next horde can happen is night 14, and at the latest, night 17, due to the 3 Blood Moon Range.
Close. The next day is calculated from the last day + frequency + a random up to range. In your example if BM was day 10, next would be day 17-20.

Thanks for the correction. 👍

@faatal So for example if I have Blood Moon Frequency 1 and Blood Moon Range 10, the first horde could arrive between 1-10 days, correct? Or would it be 1-11 days? Just checking, since I'm considering this gamemode sometime during the course of A19.
Would be 1-11 days.
