I love new models and all the visual upgrades. The game looks really nice!

I just hope VR pulls its poo together by the time 7d2d is done. I would love to play it in VR but if it's implemented like any FPS I've seen so far, it would ruin 7 days.

is there a plan to "fix" or adjust the 4x4 in A19? It's sooooo slow and it sounds like it's stuck in first gear. I made it and promptly regretted the loss of materials ( i have it parked in my garage gathering dust and rust).

I love 4x4. Make it or buy it as soon as I can. Only time i might not take it is in wastelands.
I wanted to like it. I was super excited to get it, but it's just stupid slow (if my gramma were alive, she could move faster than that thing) and the constant "i can't shift out of first gear!!!" sound quickly becomes like nails on a chalkboard for me.

Agreed...the bangs just look too neat and straight cut to me. The rest looks like a huge upgrade, but the hair ruins her for me.

Great to see the food and water bars back, so there's that.
It's a wig....Arlene is really bald. Blows to her head will cause it to fall off...?

Arlene looks great , she is more or less gonna be wacked a lot, hair is her last problem. :beaten:

Awesome job on the models so far guys, thanks for sharing some of them, Joel.

Will the terrain be editable again? The inability to place new terrain blocks and see them in the world has severely decreased my enjoyment in this new alpha and I've been hoping for a fix with every update. Will it be working again in 19?

Funny you mention this. I was just doing some testing with this. Which terrain blocks are you referring to?

It appears terrStone, terrGravel, terrDestroyed stone all display correctly. TerrAsphalt has the same texture as TopSoil which I think is a bug/oversight.

NONE of them display correctly in my game; if I place snow, sand, forest ground, burnt ground, or destroyed stone all display as whatever the original texture was. For example, if I dig a hole in the snow and fill it in with forest ground, it appears as though I filled it in with snow but it digs up as forest ground.

Hmm...I observed the opposite in my navesgane game. What map you using?

Should I warm up the engines?

I have this issue in RWG - pretty sure it has to do with the microsplat terrain shader. A similar issue is if you swap the names of biomes you get terrain that looks like the name, not the xml code.

for example, rename "desert" to "snow" change nothing else and you will have a desert with snow shades terrain.

It's happened in every Random Gen game I've played; with multiple maps. It's been driving me nuts.

What do you mean by the opposite happens to you in the Navezgane map?

If only the hair was more muddy or dirty or something. A wig or a recent cut doesn't "cut it" for this model. Hard pass for me. The previous one was indeed amazing. This one is a well made and detailed model with a placeholder-looking wig resembling a living human npc hair or a recent haircut. As the saying goes, hair brings one's self-image into focus; it is vanity's proving ground. Where is the pride or vanity of TFP from a spotless human npc hair in a dead lady?

Doesn't look like my words are a "bald" claim, does it?

Until someone posts a zoomed in pic with a box drawn around the hair and an arrow pointing at it I really can’t take the feedback seriously. Orsey showed the way. This is the way.

Hows this?

Much better. Can we get a mod? It must comprise wigs and spider Zds with M. Freeman's voice offering a fresh alpha 19.
