Hello. Nice to see some new stuff and changes from visual side. New magnum looks really cool with new lighting and awesome skyboxes. Current weather effects in 18.3 look stunning, I really love the pacing of how the weather changes. Well done guys, don`t break it for now, you`ve almost nailed it xd.

I hope there will be more emphasis put into interiors as well. For example some of textures of the objects look great like coffe maker, but some of them look very pixelized no matter what image quality settings are.

Nice to hear about new toys for grown up boys like drones. Im only wondering if its going to be possible to take control over them. Transport some items, use them as a weapon, not only as additional pair of eyes. Or perhaps drones would simply follow us.

I was thinking about lets say the lore. The world feels kind of void for now. Except for bandit, wanderers, scavengers `you name it` faction, think of adding some functioning military base, decentralized army as faction or what actually might be left from the military - not necessarily hostile towards players. There could be some traders, different types of gear and schematics available at functioning military base.

Some misterious fictional faction could be added (not much known, heavily geared, very lethal), sub-branch of military or private corporate army. Something like Umbrella Corp. from RE, by exploring their headquaters players could get fancy drones, robots, railguns, electric vehicles schematics, lasers, masers, fasers, brazzers you name it. DARPA kind of stuff for.

I only hope guys You finally manage someday adding vehicles for 2+ players that could roam together. Right now crafting gyrocopter just for myself is kind of pointless resource dipping. Not to mention the overall controls.

Not only killing methodes this time. Players could finally progress and prepare food not in firebones but also in ovens obtainable at traders for 6000 dukes. Obtainable and functioning fridges at traders etc. Make barbecues actually work, characters able to sit at benches, chairs. You could fetch some jewelry (scrapped for brass), bottle of eastern vodka (could negate some desease etc.) or sold for a fortune at traders. People would love this kind of stuff.

So far the game is great. Need some polish and balancing as any other game on the market nowadays.

Not sure what you mean. Hope you aren't actually asking for gates. My early game lasts plenty long and I don't try to rush stuff. But I know the ability to rush is there for those who want to play that way.
I second this. And level gates achieve the exact opposite of what they intended; they encourage the player to speed rush the game. If you want to build a concrete mixer and you're locked behind level 60, you bet that most players will attempt to get to level 60 ASAP. :p

personally i think that the amount of reinforced chest in just basic homes its why people go from making stuff from hand to using whatever you find in their. when i played on day 1 i got level 4 iron legs , a level 3 iron helmet , a level 3 stun baton and a level 1 hunting rifle from 1 chest.

Unless RNGuses was watching over me that day thats BS

Yeah, reinforced chests are really good. I think they at least need to be locked.

Late game god tier stuff, most normies won't even know they are in the game. Thanks for the enthusiasm, but you can order a drone right now IRL its not fantasy or even futuristic. You might as well rage about ak47's in the game :p
I can order a drone which heals me if I feel sick!? Great, link pls, I need that! ;)

If levelling and hand-crafting are taken in isolation then yes, the balance is far more reasonable. With traders and certain high-resource or easy-to-loot POI's the balance goes out of the window.

If you want a concrete mixer before level 60 you have a few options. Use one at a trader, buy one at a trader or slap down a land claim block and pick one up from a POI.

1. You can no longer pick up workstations by putting down a LCB. That's not been a thing since Alpha 15.

2. I wouldn't be opposed to a nerf in armor/guns within the first 20-30 levels, including at traders.

Fair enough, I stand corrected. I don't normally try to cheese the system if I can help it. :-)

I have only found one trader in my RWG map, and all of the workbenches, mixers and forges were not usable.

I did find a few not broken ones in POIs and utilized them to some degree which took extra planning.

This worked as my base was in the middle of them and the trader so it worked out.

I am at day 70 and awaiting the horde, but I do have lvl 5 weapons, turrets and a Jeep with bike back up...so its going well so far.

I am looking forward to the changes in April though, then I can start a new game.

It's fine. :) It's just that so many mechanics in 7D2D have a fierce 50/50 division on how they work, so I have to assume that everyone is being "smug" in their misunderstandings. :p My bad. :p

I'm straining to remember but I think every RWG trader I've found this alpha was within sight of a town, or at least close-ish. Some right on the edges, some a gravel road away, but all less than 2,000 meters from the edge of the town. One of the first things I tend to do is explore a bit while the early game temperature protection is active and I usually wind up visiting 2-3 towns before day 4.

Workbenches aren't too hard to find if you know some PoI's that have them. Whether they're working or not is another matter. The smithy is the easiest for me to spot at a distance and most towns have one. Functional forges are the hardest for me to find.

Wait...just thought of one map where the burnt trader was quite a ways down a path from town. Oh, well...most of them have been close.

not even that they should spawn in tough POIS. maybe not in places like the Hospital that what the harden chest but places like Police stations, Bunkers , Large homes , Bandit camps , and somewhat large areas. not just some basic house. maybe something called Reinforced wooden chest that contains a nice stack of wood , iron , Lead , cloth etc (like 50 or less) or some Ok tier Weapons like old pistols , bows , clubs , stone spears etc. or even parts

*April-December. ;) :p (Sorry, I couldn't help myself. :p It'll be ready when it's ready, and the longer it takes, the better the update will be.)

A small POI completely encased in reinforced concrete by day 21 is where I'm going with this. People using cobblestone as the weakest material they build with, even using it to plan out walls because it's easier to get than wood and you have tools decent enough to break it within the first few days. Having steel tools by day 3... that sort of thing.
If the accellerated progression was a temporary way to get people to the mid-game quicker so that they could provide feedback for the relevant areas then fair enough, if it wasn't then I'd definitely say that there's a balancing issue.
We are going to slow down how fast you gain access to top tier weapons and tools, but leveling and enemy progression is pretty spot on. I'm not really sure concrete is a big deal you can make 3 thick walls pretty easy so why make it annoying to get to concrete?
