Even if he meant to cook food, I'd do with an electric stove/oven so it requires electricity. A wood burning stove is no more tech savvy than a campfire other than it has an exhaust vent outdoors.
yeah true. but still there should be a stove of some kind. just IMO its just silly to be King of the wasteland and eating your nice Hobo stew with a campfire. maybe for quick cooking but for long term not so much, that's really the only thing on my wish list (seriously that's my only Wish list item)

cuz 90% of the time i do that i get retked not even due to the rage zombies.

 
We're bringing on more staff all the time. Faatal has a side kick he's worked with before we brought on and we're looking at another guy to bolster the staff for the gold push. Bandits are not coming to A19 unless we push the date. Its just not needed, there is already a ton of new content in 19, and bandits can come later. The concepts are done and we're modeling the bandits now.
19 will finish off guns so there will be 3 tiers of all ranged weapons, bring candy to the game, perk rebalance, loads of new art, new music and poi content, and rebalanced loot, to name a few features, plus any pre 18 weapon got redone. So brand new magnum, pistol, desert eagle, etc. Junk drone will be cool AF.
Are Bandits a guarantee to come before Gold? I'd hate to see them get cut. I think they will add a great new element to the game.

given about them adding animations and what madmole and the others are talking about and them starting to model the bandits!.

Will every shape be part of the "shape menu"

like the stair with rail , 50 pillars , pillar etc. for everything from wood to rebar?

 
most of the time you just run backwards. unless you uses a hammer that knocks them off their feet you just run back. yes it fun at times but most of the time you run back while attacking.
Hm, I have a safe with melee/INT hero and you just reminded me that I stopped using backwards since the new mechanics in A18 are in. And I love it.

Try put some points in there, the fun is amazing, seeing them fly and fall in countless ways and poses, while next one is hitting you, waiting for its turn :)

ill have to try that cuz i still play like i used to on Xbox

 
The existing wood stove would be a nice alternative to the campfire for within player bases. It already exists so all that would be needed is to make it interactive so "e" opens the same campfire-type cooking crafting menu, and of course making it player-craftable (or player scavenge-and-placeable) - pardon me if it already is, I haven't played for a couple weeks and my last game was heavily focused on antibiotic scavenging, not aesthetic base elements.
The other change would be dramatically lower fuel consumption for the same effect, a good wood stove is pushing 10x more efficient.

 
I can't quite remember but with the bandits coming are wandering traders/npcs/survivors also coming with it? I think I've seen you mention something like this in the past.
I think he is talking about first adding bandits, because he's recently talking about the random encounter system having NPC'S involved

Oh ya, that's right. I'd like to hear more about how the random encounter system would work, or if they already started coding it.

 
We're committed to adding bandits.
I hope y'all will add VA for the bandits, and them shouting lines depending on the situation (closely related to AI). Some good games use that and it sounds really cool (Half-Life, FEAR, etc.)

They had some pretty hilarious voicelines that are still in game, but is in the code.

 
I disagree. The combat has improved a ton over the years and is fun. Is it AAA quality? No. We're like Bethesda, you get a ton of moderate quality features but nothing is super polished or jaw dropping like other AAA games that have 2 features they focus on. That is the trade off when you do a wide scope game with loads of features.
It definitely has improved with a18. Bandits and more weapons will help it imo. Can we expect any other new action to combat. Something like special abilities?

Although it makes zero sense lore wise, an effective roundhouse kick to the groin of male zombies would be spectacular. :p
