I wouldn't mind seeing a group stunning effect that this may cause. Seeing a tight group of zombies suddenly stumble. I mean it wouldn't do much damage at such a wide spread but wow. :)

Flash bang!

that would be cool if it did a few things.

1: Stuns and slows the zombies down

2: Blinds players for PVP and PVE (bandits)

3: Sense Zombies would be Blind and Deaf. they would attack anything around them (zombies , walls and people)

We will have new beds and mattresses in 19 Alpha, that's cool.

I would like to have a beautiful bed on my main base, not just a sleeping bag.

Is it possible to add the ability to select such beds in the area of ​​the claims unit or to otherwise activate this bed as a spawn point, without having to create a new bed and reinstall it?

So one could add to the game the ability to activate any bed or mattress as a spawn point, even if they are the spawn point of other players. To compensate for the creation time of a new sleeping bag, you can simply add an activation timer, as in a container search.

Make a sleeping bag is easy, why not give the player the opportunity to activate any beds, mattresses, sofas and other sleeping places?

 
Repeating some relevant things that were moved because the discussion stopped being relevant:

-I think it would be great if there was also a practical reason to use better beds and other decoration items.

For example beds giving you a small buff while being your spawn point, or had increased spawn protection radius compared to sleeping bags.

-I think the GS formula could use some spicing up, in order for it not to be so linear and level dependent, by e.g. adding a few extra factors and a bit of randomness.

 
Joel, one more thing.

What do you plan to do with electricity?

Now with many connections it is very difficult to get confused. Even the backlight does not solve this problem. When a power tool is in the hands of you, the Base looks like a Christmas tree, this does not help to understand at all what is connected to.

Solution: give the opportunity to add a description to motion sensors, switches, generators and other elements so that when you hover over an element in the tooltip you can see the comment that we added.

I think electricity need a dedicated alpha to improve it as much as it's need.

Would be nice to see some better endgame content involving working ACs and heaters (make other biomes viable to live), elevators, electric forge and oven, even an electric car or at least a bike mod to use less stamina. More turret types, working fridges and freezers (only high end food should rot, so base gameplay won't be affected as much), working TVs with cameras for CCTV. Alternate switches, better batteries should charge faster, battery bank should charge all 6 batteries at the same time. Also if you have a solar bank with 50W and a battery attached to it should use all the solar power and the rest from the batteries (currently only uses the solar and some things don't work). More input for electric devices should be a nice touch as well. If I had all this in a separate alpha I'll be so happy.

Can I ask why the bed model needed updating? Can't imagine it must have been high on the list of current priorities ^^

Semi-related note... can get get easier UMA modding for the player so we can add mroe clothes? Asking for a friend... honest...

I hope they update the Barbed wire into a coiled barbed wire.

cuz the current one has been around since alpha 1 (i think)

 
With the addition of the spear, knuckles, Stun Baton and Junk Turret this game has been looking up weapon combat wise.

Still the in game combat is a little dry but better. I like the addition to power attacks but I think blocking and weaving is the main missing peace to melee combat. Think Zeno Clash. A game that had amazing first person melee combat.

You could have enemies bandits do it too. It would be a much more engaging skillful experience having bandits blocking our attacks. Shields should come with an update like that along with shield bashing as the power attack.

Just as a side note you should have blocking prevent infections only if you have forearm armor when blocking with out a shield.

maybe you can select the types of melee you can do.

let's take the Spear. you can hold R to chose your attack way.

You can uses it to throw, able to turn it into a pike or able to charge with it.

and maybe some other stuff like shields that can be used for Offensive and Defensive. Able to hold say a Club in one hand that can only do power attacks while the other you can uses to block some attacks.

or Maybe if you press both buttons on mouse or Controller you do a Special attack

example: Brawling would do a uppercut , Guns would do a Bash , Bows can shoot multiple arrows (not compound bow) , Sledge Hammer can do a ground slam! etc
