I wasn't telling you how or what to do, again just a real world perspective, thought you'd appreciate the input is all. Kinda like the videos you posted a few weeks ago showing real robots as back up to your idea of a junkbot making sense in the game for those who doubted it. I'm not one of those "it has to make total sense" people. I still love most spaceships and robots in Star Wars even though very very few of them would ever stand a chance of actually existing or being even remotely functional irl.
And I love this game, you balance realism and fun really well. I'd say realism does matter, just not in every aspect of the game. A bike has more storage than a jeep, etc. Thought it might help you figure out how many slots to put in the junkbot, and so on. But ok, if the input isn't helpful at all then I'll just stop and wait to see what ends up in the game. Again I'm bound to like whatever it is anyway.
The feedback is interesting, but pathing is big issue with a follower in our voxel world, so it is planned to be a pretty basic hover behind or next to you type of movement. Maybe post A19 we do something more, but depends on where we spend our dev time.

@mm

sense alot of stuff is getting updated (in terms of looks)

will other stuff like guns , Armor and other stuff get a New look?
Linear color space was enabled yesterday and art adjustments for it have started. Post processing v2 added today. I'm hoping in a week we have a lot of it dialed in and looking sweet.

I don’t pretend to get all of it but it sounds like an effort to make stuff look even nicer.

oh ok. i just don't understand the "Technical" terms.

but if so then HELL YEAH! i may draw some ideas to imagine how it may look.

i can't help it

Much better lighting, fog, post processing. Eye candy.

Linear Color SpaceThe preferred Color Space for realistic rendering is Linear. This can be selected using the ‘Color Space’ property from (Edit>Project Settings>Player).

A significant advantage of using Linear space is that the colors supplied to shaders within your scene will brighten linearly as light intensities increase. With the alternative, ‘Gamma’ Color Space, brightness will quickly begin to turn to white as values go up, which is detrimental to image quality.

Another main benefit of Linear is that shaders can also sample textures without Gamma (midtone) compensation. This helps to ensure that color values remain consistent throughout their journey through the render pipeline. The result is increased accuracy in color calculations with improved overall realism in the eventual screen output.

This is excellent news!
And did I hear that there are some changes coming to fog? :)
their better be no Fog zombies. that have Blades out of bone running around trying to eat you and scream so loud it makes the screamer zombie sound quite . i just saying...

But How many fps does the screen shot run at? Hmmmm?
Well as faatal said, it will be about a week before all of his testing and adjustments are done so I'll defer to him on announcing any fps changes-- but I will say that his joy comes from doing things that yield gains :)

It was mostly a joke, a still screenshot, how many FPS?? get it???

Nevermind.

I thought it might be but I also thought you might be musing whether improving the fog caused a hit to performance which a still screenshot wouldn't show.

so...er...good one... ;)

You would be correct tho about my musing, like I said, mostly a joke :)

On scale of 1 to 10 how good was it?

1 being great, 10 being hillarious
