Ok so i think we should do a VOTE

Lever-action?

50.cal? like the barret , AS50 or any other

better Semi Auto? like a PSG1 or M14 or other

New Bolt Action? weapons like The L96 or any other

old Fashion weapon? like 700.nitro , Kar98 , M1 garand , PTRS etc?

or

Some Crazy Anti Material Rifle

Oh, yes, players will use it in buildings.
And if it does NOT clip then players will need a lot of space for turning with this thing and be furious that they have the mobility of a minibike in a POI. LOL

All of these complications are easily avoided by not choosing a rifle that is beyond stupid for the purposes in game. =P
Well I'm sure you guys will scale it, make custom art, and take heavy liberties with design to fit this game. Much like everything else.

I think we need more guns that use .44

Agreed. WAY Too many guns Use 7.62mm!

maybe a Lever action rifle.

a SMG made for 44 rounds?

i remember you saying something about trying to do a uppercut attack with the Bar brawler book.

could it be possible if you press both button on mouse or controller it can activate a attack like that? even for other weapons?

 
I cannot create a perimeter around my base with four electric fence posts. when the last is connected to the first the next line automatically disconnects. So it is more an electric barrier and not a fence. Would like to see them connectable into a loop.

 
I was saying any game where someone gets 1000+ hour in, would probably buy sequels from them without any hesitation. That probably kicks in at 50+ hours for me, since for me most games don't grab my attention.
only your game and like 3 others grab my attention lol but this game is always well executed with how good it is

I was very excited to find the I-beam block set in the forge and set out to experiment with them, and liked the way it looked. I wanted to build something with them in the future, and noticed they upgraded with concrete. Ran back to base got some concrete and was kind of disappointed that they turned into reinforced concrete (although that in of itself was pretty neat, for future concrete structure building) but could we have them be upgraded with steel first? Iron beam to steel beam to reinforced concrete. I know that it seems backwards in the flow of other block upgrade progression, but it would be cool to build a different style of building other than the 1x1x1 block building structures.

Or, up the iron beam from 1000 hp to 2500 hit points, and then that would negate the need for steel upgrade in the middle, if i wanted to build a Ibeam structure.

Loving a18, we are on day 119 of me and the wife's world, plus a couple solo worlds, and I got two of my friends to get it on PC after being on console forever and they instantly fell in love with it too!

 
I can see the logic of not having a .50 cal as a sniper rifle , maybe in the future an option is to make one bipod mount only where your fixed to place it and fire it.
Question is how useful is an anti material rifle with limited ammo and fixed to the ground ?

Would it be used and would it be worth spending time to develop.

Now if bandits attacked my base with trebuchets i would proberly want one and maybe use it to take out high armoured entitys or bandit bases.
Trebuchets...... pfft......how about a tank/artillery gun...😂

 
You all threw suspension of disbelief out, a long time ago, as well as logic in many instances. Whats the point of NOW worrying about it?

People bring up blocks but that was a game play mechanic you couldn't get around.

Try Food.

Being able to just pick up vehicles and put them in your bag.

I get what gazz is saying, ammo capacity design is set to have some semblance of weight, so not doing so for the .50 cal would be an inconsistency.

I also get the who clipping thing. All weapons currently in game doesnt extend past 1 voxel block in front of the player. Adding a weapon that extends more then that and popping out through the other end would look wonky lol.

However, both of these issues can be overcome. Just scale the barret down in size to address the clipping concern, then lower the stack size but up the damage.

Tbh we need nitrous, turbo charger mod (for 4x4 only), performance parts mod (increases chance of vehicle breakdown by 25% while increasing max speed by up to 100% and 25% more acceleration and also would be hard to find or make.), mounted machine gun, and even the ability to use a winch.

haha that was the point. If the firearm works to round out the theme they are going for, just make it work. Creative liberties have been used all over the game to make things fit. One more isn't going to hurt. ;)

That is a machinegun, and is the T3 machinegun already. The assault rifle will be T2 machinegun and AK47 will be the T1 machinegun.
The blank I'm trying to fill is here: T1 Hunting rifle, T2 Marksman Rifle, T3 something cool here.
So I assume even tier1 ranged weapons will be very scarce until level 20, but you will find weapon parts for them occasionally. And the primitive bow will be sort of "tier0" and easily craftable.

So what's the plan for melee weapons? A primitive club as the only weapon (aka tier0) until level 20 or will tier1 melee weapons be generally available earlier than ranged tier1?
